Shark Tale *SVCD* - TELESYNC - VideoCD

Damn .. i must say this is a very very sexy TELESYNC. Glad it's a real pre this time

Now of course this TELESYNC will be better than most others because it is a cartoon. Colors were perfect from the few rars (& sample) that i viewed - wasn't too dark nor too bright .. it's just right hehe . Sound isn't low or anything. Perfect DTS transfer & synching. Didn't notice any issues whatsoever. Now as for the movie, wasn't as good as i expected, but i still enjoyed it. And yes, it is "fun for the whole family." Some of ya may think it's like Finding Nemo but it is nothing like it ( be warned! :P )

Based on the sample, VIDEOCD and not Centropy hit this puppy right on the head. Good vibrant colors, sound is perfect, and agree with everything that Vip3r said above.

after viewing the sample video and audio are top notch but is it me or does the sample seem out of sync?
Hope it's just sample and not the film will edit when watched full release.

After watching this release the quality is damn near perfect great video and top notch audio however there is a guy that walks past twice but not enough to reck the release and in the film the only sync problem i came across is in exactly the same place as the sample other than that it's perfect.

Here's how to do it people...

Video is damned nice for a TS, good colour, good clarity and not cropped to shit. Audio is spot-on too, volume is good and overall it's clear. Could have a bit too much bass but the speakers on this monitor are shit so I'll reserve judgement. The movie looks ok (if a little by-the-numbers), my neice watched the POT release and seemed to enjoy it - I may give it a whirl eventually.

Rating based on sample: 8/8/6

(thanks "mystery donor" who sent me the sample while I'm stuck at work - you know who you are )

though, 2 other grps already did.

audio = 7 ....its dts audio, problem is it loses sync randomly
easy to resync yourself like most rlses out today.
crisp audio though minus the random de-sync

movie = 6 ....toy story shocked the world, this just continued
a tradition of good animation...nothing too new or
impressive, just a good kiddie movie.

Video:7 The best for a VCD.
Audio 5: Really out of sync, and that just ruins things for me. Movie 6: Good fun dosnt really live up to it's potential though, The Incredibles will be this years CG movie and I can't wait.

Very Good..saw this in theatres very funny even for teenagers and older, been looking for a copy to 'selectively watch' scenes again heh.

Hi,

Just got done watching the flix, and it wasnt that bad, I had a few laughs, I dunno about this movie saving the IPO of Dreamworks, but it just might.

Anyways, the only "bad" thing that happen was,

I thought this was a dvd until 27minutes into some smuck decides to take a seat. Its funny he walks from one side of the screen all the way to the other.

On the audio, I didnt notice any audio glitches, my dvd player handled it pretty damn good.

if you look at the sample, the 2 smallfish seem a little out of sync, but maybe that due to the speed of their conversation. Look at the shark in the background and he's in sync perfect..

overall.. WAHOO, good job VideoCD

Just finished and this is based on the final review. Pic is a tad dark but nice Pic and very slight angle, and one guy does get up and walk across the screen during cd1, no biggie. The sound was excellent and very well synced from what i could see. As for the movie, I thought it was a very good movie for all ages. Mega Props to VideoCD on a stellar new SVCD TS. Hope to see more of ya soon!! ENJOY!!

Sweet pic on this release, at least as good as Centropy did Finding Nemo last year.

Can't find any sync issues on my PC or T.V. - perhaps yall need to invest in something bigger then 13" screen and a DVD player that cost more than 100$

Just finished downloading this version and found no bad sync on any disk and pic great and upto the VideoCD standard of old.
This version will do me untill a screener or dvd rip version is ready to download.
Kid's cant wait to watch it but busy re-encoding to dvd-r for them at the mo.

oki. most agree it kinda slipps out of sync & back in again.no major prob at all but for fuck sake why you all giving it 9 for audio? Yea its great sound,just a shame its not spot on with the video.a tad picky i might be but ive seen ppl thrashed for less.i know most ppl like to suk up to VideoCD rls.This is by far the best rls ..so far .

Film sucked so much. The story has been done to death a million times before and this film relies entirely on its cast to carry it. Unfortunately most of the cast are underused. AVOID this film.

Hmmn, everyone is marking audio high.

This version is awful, after about twenty minutes the audio is about a second out of sync.

The quality is good, but surely the fact it doesnt syn for most of the movie should mark it down ?

Makes me wonder if it had the audio for another film on it would get a high mark as long as it sounded good

Just got through watching this. Video is really fucking good. Nice and clear, not too cropped and the colours are real good. Audio I thought was amazing. No hissing, no buzzing, no nothing.

The movie itself was pretty good actually. I wasn't holding out too much hope, but it surprised me.........which is nice.

Very nice copy, no sync issues here; picture is very nice. Movie is ok ( the kids loved it; personally I am sick of Will Smith )

Movie and Sound were perfect. Cant ask for better. Might be a first 10 i gave for flick itself. Story and the JOKES were hilarious. Voices were excellent! Will Smith, Jolie, DeNero--all excellent! Even better than SHREK..go see this one!!!

Great colours and audio, and I only spotted one persons head moving into shot and that was for like a second and doesnt bother me.

Movie wasnt great, plenty of "A List" celebs and stuff but the only character I liked was the Don shark. Apart from that everything seemed rather duped from other films.

Just finished watching it, very very nice release by VideoCD. Converted it to DVD

Video -9- Very good, except I noticed that when it got dark, there was a lot of saturation in the black areas (noticeable when a scene fades out), but I dunno if it was just on the TV I tested it on.

Audio -10- Except for a couple minor syncing issues (nothing as major as some people make it out to be), the audio couldnt be better.

Movie -9- much better than I expected it to be. A lot of critics are comparing it to Nemo, which you can't becaue thats like comparing Apples to Oranges. Shark Tale and Nemo are 2 completely different movies. I really enjoyed this flick.

well I've watched this release 3 times now and every time I still come to the conclusion that the audio which excellent quality is still slightly out of sync with the animation. At times it is barely noticeable but obvious at others. for this reason only I've dropped my adudio rating.

video is as good as it gets for a TS and the movie is very enjoyable tho Shrek 1 still remains my favourite animated movie.

Very nice release. I see no real reason to even get a dvd release when it comes out in a few months. Sound was a bit soft, but just turn up the volume! Fun film, great for kids.

yeah, audio is slightly out of synch on cd2 as far as i noticed.
also some ppl walking by during the movie...but nevertheless:

Didn't notice any audio out of sync issues, just a guy walking through back and forth once.
Movie was great. DeNiro was excellent as the Don. Will Smith at his best.

it seems like the sound is out of sync,is it me cuz i see half of the ppl in here saying yes there is a problem and half of them saying they are having no audio sync problems whatsoever!what gives?

[EDIT:: It probably depends on what you're watching it on, SVCD's can be fussy like that - Neversoft]

Just downloaded Shark Tale because of all the hype. Enjoyed the quality of the movie for the most part but haven't watch it in its entirety. No sync problems for me personally as a lot of people have stated. And I must say other than the person walking in front of the screen, it's on top for a VideoCD release and has an influx of colors which helps the quality. I might get the DvDRiP when it comes out but still props goes to VideoCD on this awesome release.
