Nice one, the WESTSIDE version was horrible.
But why aint this a PROPER?
9/9/7
anyone know if this is unrated?

This isn't a proper because it is probably WS, not FS like Westside. It doesn't state it in the nfo, but dvl always releases WS.
Very nice rip either way
9/8/...

it is WS (hence no proper tag, but they probably should have put a WS tag on since FS was out first, as per tdx), pretty good quality. i'd say get this one if you particuarly are a fan of pitch black/riddick or didn't get the FS.
9/8/7
Hmm, I'm wondering why people comment that it's a good rip and/or give it a high rating, yet they're not even sure whether it's FS, WS or a PROPER release, which means that they haven't even seen 1 second of the release
Anyway, I couldn't find any flaws in the release. Looks good
Yes, this is the UNRATED version. It also has the same duration as the UNRATED DVDR release.
The RATED version is 120 minutes.
Woah, this is the Director's Cut, cause it's not indicated in the NFO file. About 15 seconds before the end of the credits, "Director's Cut" pops up, and gives you some additional credits. Nice!
wasted bandwidth over the WESTSIDE rls... didnt even watch the shaky and irritating rip.. will be going for this one.. happy to have it from a proper rls group
8/8/?

Im not suffering from insanity !! Infact i enjoy every minute of it !!
yeah its unrated... i figured it was from the nfo (look at the running time... the theatrical is like 120min, this is 134...)
good move by dvl for being sensible with their sizing, and settling on the good ole 608x256... any higher would have been stupid... this is an excellent release, of a pretty damn cool movie (not as good as the original, but still good...)
ac3
2cd
ws (!!!!!!)
'smart' resolution
perfect AR
crisp, clean (much better than id expect from a film this size, with ac3...and on 2cd...)
and its uncut...
...for a film ive really been anticipating (saw it at the cinema..)...a release like this doesn't get much sweeter...
(bitching_&_moaning)
on a secondary note... anyone check the specs for the dvd? i honestly like buying dvds if the packaging/contents is worth while... but really... riddick... bonus features... movie trailers?! some 360 degree views of locations? 1 level from the xbox game when i dont even have an xbox? its pretty lame, the only good stuff on there, seems to be the commentaries... theres also a SHORT 'making of' or something...but it sounds pretty poor...
im betting they will re-release the dvd down the road, possibly if they make ANOTHER film... so im gonna keep this wonderful kickass release, and wait till the dvd is re-release with some decent bonus features...
(/bitching_&_moaning)
oh yeah, 7.5/9/7 (7 as a whole, though... the movie was higher, but it suffered, because the ending really wasn't good...)
about time a WS version was released!.....been holding out for it...
and thank god i can delete the crapy westside release
