Shinbet usually encodes stuff to NTSC from pal. So is this infact pal?

In case you didn't see, it's nuked...

Reason: mislabeled.pal

Posted by porco556 on 12-26-2005 02:17 PM:

Nuked or not nuked, this is a) still being circulated and b) nothing all that much wrong with it other than it is PAL.

Video Attributes:
Video compression mode: MPEG-2
TV system: 625/50 (PAL)
Aspect Ratio: 16:9
Display Mode: Both Pan&scan and Letterbox
Source picture resolution: 720x576 (625/50)
Frame Rate: 25.00
Source picture letterboxed: Not letterboxed
Bitrate: 3.47Mbps

As for audio. This release has both DTS and DD 5.1... You just need to switch the audio track... And what I believe might be Spanish track also.

NOT bad actually... It will hold you guys off until the R1 NTSC for sure.

Sheep nuke IMO. But Shinbet REALLY has a bad reputation and people are itching to nuke their shit. IT is PAL+ DD5.1 + DTS... AND what I think is Spanish track also (SOUNDS good for a dub!)...

Its a shame 1) released by group with bad reputation 2) mislabled PAL and 3) this movie
It really a good DVD. My standalone DVD plays PAL, so it looks excellent on the WS and sounds fantastic with the DTS.
Movie was disappointing after the original.

9/10/6

porco, what is your take on the video? it has a MODEST bitrate..... obviously with all of the audio tracks the video cant be that up to snuff....

It looks pretty good... I quickly checked it out in PowerDVD and it looked fine. I honestly would just use it for a "hold over" copy until the R1 comes out (PURELY because of it being Shinbet and they haven't won me over either). BUT if you have to see it, you will NOT be disappointed with the video... And as mentioned, on a 27" CRT, we're talking beautiful picture.

Posted by JoshNya on 12-27-2005 03:56 AM:

Ya its ok for PAL, but my standalones dont play em.

/me definitely waits for R1

No french sub

Posted by thisforumsucks on 12-27-2005 09:21 PM:

PAL, How in the hell can you mistake this for NTSC?

Posted by Athlon64 on 12-29-2005 10:14 PM:

The R1 Retail hits stores January 10 and DVD's for the most part are released a week or two before so any day now I suppose. Can't wait!

I hope Replica does this release.
