Laptop to TV
i have a laptop and is it possible for me to to hook it up to my dvd player? I have the cable and everything but i'm not sure how to do it
You want to hook your laptop to your dvd player? For what reason, can't you just put a dvd in the laptop?
i want to hook my laptop to the dvd player so i can watch it on my tv. My dvd player is connected to the tv and i want to let my laptop connect so i can use my tv screen as the moniter

what do you mean? I'm trying to use my laptop to play on my tv screen because my laptop screen is to small.
Why don't you try hooking your laptop up to a vhs player, then plug that vhs player into one of your dvd players scart sockets then use the other scart socket to connect the dvd player to your tv. This way you can use your tv as a monitor and you can record you tube vids on to vhs.
Edit:: Or better still, hook it up to a Sattelite receiver first then you can visit foreign internet pages and watch them through your dvd player on your tv.

You need to hook your laptop to the tv not dvd player if you want to surf the net on your tv, i have an LCD that came with said lead still haven't hooked mine up

P.S Might be an idea to list your laptop, and t.v makes and models in case you can't surf the net with your spec lappy or t.v

better yet, hook your laptop to the UHF line which im sure that you have somewhere, and then just use the wifi connection on your tv to watch live hifi on your wifi on your tv.
on a serious note.
there may be a VGA connection on the back of your tv, then just connect that to your lappy, and hit the FN key plus the F4 button i believe it is and you will switch monitors.
im going on a complete assumption that your laptop and tv both have VGA in and out ports.
