Another great Release from SAOSiN !
Alrighty , Picture ... tad dark but crisp like their previous two TELESYNC's. A/R and Crop look near perfect. Colors are great.
Only issue with this release is the sound. No DTS Disk for this movie so sounds like they tried it the old fashioned way ! (plug jack into headset). If its not fully in you might get that high pitched ringing noise.
Solution ! :

from sample: release is okay. video isn't perfect colours are good though. audio is ok...in the beginning of the sample, when theres only speaking, theres some background noise, dont know what it is but its quite annoying. overall its quite nice.

Not much more to be said here. SAOSIN is 3 for 3 with this release. Takes a small hit on the sound due to NOT being DTS. Slight hiss but only at the highest of volumes...Mega props on speed and quality..

Ok, haven't seen the whole movie yet, but gata comment on the sample.
Video is pretty good for a TS. Although, the audio is pertty bad. The high tingy sound is almost unbearable. Still, it's the best release thus far. Good job Saosin, props for being the best right now.

Video is great like stated many times already
Sound has a high pitch whine using Xbox Media center. Tried Analog and DTS output. Its not major, but just not up to par with some other releases. The only minor complaint I have. Hostage had different audio probs as well (gain to high?), if they get their audio issues resolved then this will be the group to beat.

This is a great svcd rip, there is some background sound but its not to bad the picture is a little dark but then again its not to bad.100% better then the last effert keep up the good work

Personally the video quality was just ok, it was a bit dark and grainy, then the sound is horrible, it keeps cutting out, i dont know about you guys but i know that bugged me alot. espesially when they were talking becuase it would constantly keep doing it.

Audio is terrible, a little hiss is not bad, but the audio constantly cuts out! Video is good, not great, but overall its good.
Movie is ok, you can tell everything thats going to happen 10 minutes before it happens, maybe this is supposed to make it easier for kids to enjoy?
Anyways, just wanted to point out the audio cuts out, as I only saw one other person mention it, and thats the one thing that kills this release.

All I can say is some of you guys have gotten WAY too spoiled and picky. It's like you have to find something to bitch about no matter what. Some people are giving this 5 for video and even lower for audio? Please. Granted, there is a *slight* hiss behind the audio. To be honest I was expecting it to be 10x worse than it is after reading some of the comments on here. It's mostly noticeable during complete quiet, I don't even hear it much when there's dialog or other sounds going on (which is most of the time). And as some have said...a quick run through Goldwave can improve the sound greatly.

Looks like the masses just look at the first part, and not the entirety of the movie.
The 2nd CD toward the end a guy get up in the middle of the screen and walks out then comes back toward the end . IMHO, unfortunatly as it may seem, it make this release watchable but not a version to archive for all to see at home.
The release was encoded about as best as one could do and the sound is pretty much on the targot. Great job, just bad luck, one guy walking thru the screen messed up what would have been almost a perfect release

Not as great as i was expecting after The Jacket and Hostage, but decent enough, at least video wise, though it is very grainy.
The audio though is very iffy, and sounds distorted, especially through ProLogic 2, but good enough for most.
A decent release, ruined abit by the audio, not by a guy walking past the screen, how could that ruin a release of a free movie, i get that at least a dozen times when i pay at the cinema, i personally like it when people walk past the cam, it makes me laugh.

not sure who rating these films of late but this is not a 8 out of 10.
this is more like a 6-7 rating.
half way throught the film u have a twat walking through and the pic is really dark in places and it does spoil the film a little as u can't see whats going on.
ok for kids to watch on a small tv but other then that its a adv 6-7 rating.
the sound has a nasty hiss to it which u can run it throught some programs to remove it.
but overall the sound is a 5-6.
please people lets have some decent rating going on !!!
a film near 8-9 i expect to be almost dvd but this is no way even close to that.
film is sharky in a few parts , way to dark in some places and sound hiss really bad and that gets a 8 rating lol come on guys.
how many time do we see a film with a 1 rating or even 2? straight way people vote a film 4-5 without giving it a 1-2 or 3 rating.
this is the best version out there and we can't really compain to much but please guy rate these better.

My Two Cents...
Making this quick...
Video - 7 - Nice quality picture. Clear to me. It's a freakin' cam people. How can you give this a 5 and such? Spoiled ass people.
Audio - 7 - It does have a slight hiss in very quiet parts but it's not that horrible. Like I said in my Hostage post ((another fine Saosin release I might add)). I've seen better audio in TS's.
Movie - 5 - Now, as far as the movie. I found it quite stupid. I know this isn't geared for adults but there are other movies I loved that was geared towards kids. The Incredibles was awesome as was Finding Nemo. This movie was just mediocre at best.

If youve read all the last 80 posts, you win a toaster. They all kiss ass and essentially say the same thing. Everyone under 20 posts states the obvious fanboy scores. Vid is completely acceptable for the fast release but the sound is utter shit (mono?) for a TS, even if it is from the hearing impaired jack. Plug it in right, use a stero (not mono) cable, or goldwave it because you had a near perfect score from me had you not rushed it (when no group is near beating you to the race for quality ((wich is what matters in the long run)).

This release is great but the audio needs to be fixed. Its very annoying. It sounds like every 2 minutes or so it gets clipped. This needs to be nuked.

HORRIBLE movie
This movie was atrocious, not funny in the least. There were maybe 2 or 3 moments in the ENTIRE movie that were funny...and that's when the robots were dancing. Other than that you just sat there in complete boredom waiting for the final credits to roll. As for the quality of the release, it was good...sound was fine after a run through goldwave.

As far as cam movies go, this is pretty good and the best version out at the moment. You can't stop idiots from getting up and going to the toilet halfway through the movie and you cant stop some background noise now and then, so you make do with what you've got. Overall it's a 6.5 out of 10. SAOSIN have got a good cam release here...
Use U-LEAD DVD Movie Factory 3 (I prefer it over NeroVision Express) to convert to DVD, add chapters, and get the sound quality in AC3/Stereo and play through your Amplifier/decoder - I got no hissing at all

Video quality was remarkably good for a cam, save for the shaking at the beginning. Though if memory serves this is the same video used in the Spanish screener mentioned in the Oracle thread. The shaking and positioning appear to be identical. I wonder if SAOSIN is affiliated with the Spanish group. Meh.

Audio, as has been mentioned, is crap. Horrible clipping effects on top of a truly annoying high-pitched hum in the background. I managed to remove the hum and compensate for most of the clipping with Goldwave; I'll detail the process later if anybody wants to try the same. After I fixed the audio -- which wasn't a short process -- it was loads better, comprable to what I might expect out of a 2-head VCR. But pre-processing it sounded just barely better than CAM-quality.

I haven't had time to watch the whole movie yet, so no rating on that. What I've seen so far has been enjoyable.

So yeah, overall I think this was a decent effort by SAOSIN which could have been near-perfect had either a) the guy in the theater plugged into the hearing impaired jack properly, or b) someone encoding had taken half an hour to clean up the audio. There's really no reason why they shouldn't have done either of those. They obviously know how to do a TeleSync right; case in point: Hostage.
And, as promised, the process for cleaning up the audio. Open up both files (CD1 and CD2) and do these steps:
Step 1: Effect->Filter->Noise Reduction. On the Preset dropdown select "Reduce Hum". Hit OK. This will take a while.
Step 2: Effect->Filter->Smoother. Default settings are fine. Hit OK. This takes not too long.
Step 3: In the first file, select from position 22:03.444 to 22:04.476 and hit "copy". Then in both files go to Effect->Filter->Noise Reduction. Under "Reduction Envelope" select "Use Clipboard", then hit OK. This will take just as long as Step 1.
After you jump through all these hoops you'll get a much more enjoyable film. I know that damn hum was giving me a headache.

watched this on the big screen last night.
video is very good - decent colors sharp video.
audio is acceptable, but there is a hiss thats a bit
annoying. I ran it through the tv speakers instead of
the 5.1 setup, since they don't have the same range and
the hiss isn't as apparent. Saosin has done much better
in this area in their other releases.

movie:5 animation is very good but the movie is really for kids. I took my 2 nieces and 3 nephews to the theatre; they loved it, I hated it.

The audio ruins this for me.
The video is actually quite good on this release, colours are crisp and clear.
If you want to deal with the sound issues yourself grab this release its very watchable.

i watched this high on weed with the gf, that red robot in the train station dancen to that hip hop tune made me laugh so damn hard lol.
to all you noobs out there, try buying tmpgenc applications and download goldwave to fix the audio yourself ya ungrateful bunch of cpu noobs...really tho. i fixed the audio in 20 mins and no hiss was left....learn how fix your own shit ppl, its really not that hard and something so minor isnt up to the group to fix.
I usually never wach telesyncs/cams but this one is really good and wachable

audio: I cant tell cause i wached the german version, that would be a 9
to the movie: more something from kids up to 12 years, i found it ok but often very boring --> kids movie

a film near 8-9 i expect to be almost dvd but this is no way even close to that.

To all the people bitching about us bitching about the audio, sort your heads out. The reason why we are bitching is so that other people who haven't got this release realise the audio is a load of crap and don't waste their time getting it, when it is worth waiting for a different one. Like I would have, if some certain people wouldn't have given the audio 9 or 10 after fixing it.
If you have fixed the audio or adjusted it then you should not give it a 9 or 10 it should be a lot less around a 4 or 5. TherE is a very bad hiss THAT IS ANNOYING and the sound level goes high and low all the way through. END OF STORY
Just a question....Why does this appear to have been nuked? Ok so the audios not perfect, but I'd rate it at 6 or 7 since it disn't really detract from my enjoyment of the film, besides, its more than made up for my one of the best pictures I've seen on a TS recently! I've seen movies that were cropped so much they only took up half my tv rated as 8 or nine on this site.. this one was close to fullscreen on my tv. the only other problem is someone seems to need the toilet halfway through! All due respect to Saosin, It'd be great to see more releases of this quality!

Didnt noticed anything bad about the audio, hence i gave it a 7.
Watched this on my standalone yamada 6600, with a basic Stereo TV.
The sound seemed fine, and no one else watching with me even mentioned a problem with the sound (3 kids, two teens and 4 adults).
Picture quality was pretty good too.

Comments have been ruined by idiots on here. Newbies clearly think that the dvd screener season carries on past awards time. Sound on this is 7 at worst (plays fine on my cheapass tv as I said) but takes 10 minutes fixing if you can be bothered. The newbies in here obviously think that groups owe them something if they think they are wasting bandwidth.
OK toss pot, I may have just registered with VCD Quality but that does not mean I am a newbie. I have read through the crap that you oldies have been writing for years and decided I would register to tell the truth about releases. If a film is release on a VCD or SVCD it is done that way so it can be burnt to disk and played on a DVD player. If it a telesync it should have a direct soure to the audio, i.e though the jack plug in the chair at the cinema. This is audio for a CAM
When I download something I don't expect to have to make it better and I don't have a cheap ass TV, I have a very big and loud surround sound TV. If you would have read my first post I did state that on my portable TV in my bedroom it didn't seem too bad but on the TV in my living room it was unbarable.

I'm not sure I understand what all the complaining is about. I thought the Video was good (not perfect) the colors were great and vivid. As for the sound I didnt get the hissing on my stand-alone. I know the audio came in and out when I watched it with VLC but when I watched it with WMP and on the DVD player it was fine. There was one second towards the begining of the movie where the sound cut out but that was only for a second. Anyway for the ratings V/8 A/8 M/8

Theres a little hum in the back, perhaps contrast is not as strong as it could be and it very occasionally sticks but its really quite good quality overall and easily watchable.

Just finished watching this movie and found it hard to comprehend Robots as humans...
After 15 mins though and the first few "jokes" I got into it and rather enjoyed it. The best part was the voice dude when he said "The Force Is Strong In This One" I was crying with laughter.
The rip itself was ok but not great.
Colours washed a little (contrast prob)
Sound was fine. I had no problem with it.

Help
I am having loads of trouble burning the bin files to CD. I am using Alcohol and it asks me to specify the block size, image header and image trailer size? The CDs burn and I can look at them in windows explorer but cannot play them at all
Nero refuses to burn them at all.
Can anybody suggest a solution? I can only use so many coasters!
