-- Star Wars Episode 5 The Empire Strikes Back * XViD* - DVDRIP - ViTE (http://www.vcdhq.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=45887)
Umm yes... looks most excellent... my fav of all of them no doubt. Will grab this until the innevitable dvdr surfaces as it's been far too long since I have watched this. And I dunno why but the colors look esp nice.. good old orange space suits.
9/9/10
Edit: Oh yes and again ViTE gives GL undue credit, Irvin Kershner directed this thank god, we have a decent film (see ep I, II for shit, erm I mean GL]
Finally a rip to do this movie justice!
There has been questions about this rip coming from the retail source, thats officialy realesed in september. Well to be honest i dont know, however i do know this:
Picture: 9,5 Excellent, crisp, clear and colorful, i ,liky
Audio: 9,5 Top notch, no disturbances
Flick: 10 The best star wars (yet)
Very nice, this is my favorite film of the trilogy.
Video is superb, sound is perfect and movie is excellent.

not sure if i have the "vite" release of this movie
i downloaded "Star Wars V - The Empire Strikes Back - DVDRIP - Special Edition" off of suprnova other day
not sure if its this vite release as it doesnt have a nfo file or named vite
but quality is EXCELLENT
havent seen such a good xvid dvd rip in awhile and to be one of my fave movies is even better.
Personally i think Return of the Jedi is my favorite, i wasnt into star wars when i was a kid, i was born 83 and i really didnt latch onto the star wars scene till the mid 90's and only movie of the 3 that i saw the most and loved was jedi.
Love the other 2 though, and empire is my 2nd fave
8/9/10
I love this movie, easily the best one, so much darker than the first, realistic (if you can say that about sci-fi) ROTJ could have been so much better if GL had kept on the same screenplay and writer leader (lost his name). I hope Episode 3 kicks ass and is a little more like this one.
Anyways, did anyone else notice that around the corners of the picture, it seems darker, shaded. Especially inside the Hoth base. This is the only DVDRip i have ever seen with darkened corners.

What is love?......baby don't hurt me.....don't hurt me......no more.
Just got a standalone DVD player that plays .avi's (as well as everything else). I love it, this and Shaun of the Dead has now de-virginized my new #1 player.
This release is nearly flawless. Got the two CD's pretty quickly (love the .avi size).
9/9/10
Nice quality release from ViTE .
Anybody know if Star Wars A New Hope is alread out?
9/9/9
judging by when jedi was released, and when empire was released, im expecting a new hope, to be released 23rd of september
guess we'll see if im right, eh...would be interesting timing, cuz isnt the dvd set supposed to be released around that time?

they broadcasted all the retail dvds on tv...i noticed they were especially good quality then i saw the new ending in return of the jedi and started kicking myself i didnt record them onto a dvd

not sure if anyones answered this fully yet, but i've read in a few places that it is the retail dvd version.
looking at the jpg on vcdquality page for "jedi" it shows the final scene where annakin has been changed to hayden christiansen so its got to be yeah?
am d/l-ing them just now so don't know for sure yet.
confirmed
I hereby confirm that the ViTE rips of these movies are actually from the new 2004 retail DVDs.
For instance, one very noticeable change from the 1997 SE versions to the 2004 verions, is in empire strikes back - the scene where the emperor tells Darth Vader that Luke is actually his son - this didn't happen in the original versions.
In the ViTE release it happens like that, and not like in the original movies.
