So is there any watermarks, B&W scenes and Nag screens?

Posted by vegasguy on 12-25-2004 09:24 AM:

Same here, thanks again TheFLY

Judging from sample its your average DVD Screener,

I have not seen any marks yet, however will let you know after I get done watching it.

Judging from sample 10/10/10

EDIT: Just got done watching this release, and I must say it was a very good movie, I hope it does well in the awards season.

Since I took a course about Human sexuality, it was interesting to learn about how Kinsey got his project off the ground after reading his material.

I highly recommend this movie!

There were NO markings, scrolls, etc in the film.

Great Christmas present you guys, Merry Christmas, and may all your beautiful dreams come true.

I wasn't expecting this release from them...but i've wanted to see this movie for ages!! Thanks for the "e-christmas presents" guys..The quality on this release is much better than the last (which is most likely the source, not the encoding)...video is top notch, as is the audio. Will update after i watch it! Can't wait. Anywho, it is Christmas...so merry christmas to everyone...hope you get all the presents that you wished for!

9/10/?

if you're really interested in seeing this movie this release is probably something you'd want to get. hopefully the DVDR of it will get released as well

i need some cdrs with all these damn dvdscr's being pumped out. this is also great quality just like the life aquatic, the video has a few artifacts here and there, thats not obviously the groups fault, just pointing it out. sound is in sync, so flawless. movie will watch eventually.

9/10/x

Laura Linney

Poor Laura Linney (Clara "Mac" Kinsey)-- gotta love these WASP's and their nicknames-- had to gain 40lbs for this role, so accolades for her subtle, understated performance is all the more deserved. As she anchors the film and throws Prok Kinsey's almost manic implacablilty into relief, she deserves a best actress nomination.

A special thanks, then, to Gentleman of "The Fly" for enabling me to appreciate the best bio-pic film of the season in the comfort and privacy of my own home, which all that I really ask.

I gladly would pay the price of admission and a premium for the convenience, but the studios, the distribution companies, and the theatres all form a single vertically integrated monopoly and won't ever pursue the obvious solution to their problem: pay-per-view for the general public during the Academy Season.

So Here's to you, MPAA President and former Kansas Congressman, Dan Glickman: The New "Wizard of Oz".

May groups like "The Fly" rip away the curtain to reveal your myopia, arrogance, hubris, and greed and to expose you for the fraud and third-rate politcal hack that you are.

Tee Hee, DG, how much time are you on your knees?

8/9/9.5

Clearly, there should be no question of source on this release (like there was with "Life Aquatic"). The video is pretty crisp and clear. It blocks up a bit under moderate to high motion, and its fairly "softened" (reminds me of a simple DVD2SVCD encode). The sound is as close to as good as it gets, no complaints there. Went and saw this movie at the local art-house theater here on Christmas Eve. Very good movie.

All in all, a good release. Much better than should be expected this early.

Has a rather cute notice of copyright in the beginning:
"Any use or posting of this movie, or any portion thereof, on any web site or wide area networked computer environment" lol, so i guess kazaa and newsgroups are on the no-no list X_x

I saw a advertisement on a billboard in my classroom over the last term, but i didnt recall it until i saw the ad on imdb's site.

Great quality, i always enjoy wide screen better then full, Except i couldnt get it to work on powerdvd 6.0 deluxe, had to use windvd.

Audio: 10
Video: 10
Movie: (still watching..so far very good)

Of course these look good, they have 9000k MaxBitrate, thats used on DVDs not SVCD... My 2 of my 3 Players skip while playing them...

Geeze...
