excellent audio and video.
has the usual menu for an R3 region (select your language before the main menu)
this is a great movie with a great cast, grab yourself a copy of this one.

There's an MPT menu fix (one file included) for this release - I am still gathering the post so can't offer any more info at present - but the fix must be for a reason.
one .rar two files need replacing...
quote:
replace VIDEO_TS.IFO and VIDEO_TS.BUP with our fix
The fix bypasses the language selection screen, jumping to the Main Menu and is optional.
I applied the fix and it still shows the language selection screen!
just miss out the menu and burn the movie...christ ..its not hard
9/9/7 decent flick
Yeah, I never noticed that change, but the seperate 'fix' thread mentions other things. Still, I went in and got rid of all lang/sub selections other than english.
Nice release - high bitrate as expected seeing no extra's.
Don't know if it was a glitch in the player (VLC) or what, but somewhere during the first forty minutes I suddenly lost sound. Seems like the player had switched from sound stream 1 to 21 (both tagged English). A quick change back to 1 and the sound came back.

well well i think the tc by dreamlight is enough for me, but this looks nice by the sample, but if im gonna get the retail i want the r1 with some extras, that would be the only way you could get me to get this considering that the telecine dvdr was so pretty.

So many years,
I still wonder where you are?
Dust myself up
and I scream at the sky
Every day I ask myself why?
So much pain pouring
from inside
Above me I feel the spirit fly
V-8 Kinda grainy on certain scenes, wish it was a bit cleaner but the bitrate is quite decent for a DVD5.
A-8 I prefer this kind of audio, 384kbps as opposed to 448kbps which seems to be the standard in U.S. shores. This leaves a bit more space possible for video quality.
M-7 Not bad, saw the ending from a mile away.
As for the menufix, with it applied the disc worked well. I wasn't gonna take any chances on burning a coaster. Without the menufix, it freezes after selecting the language for the main menu. I had to mount the image on a virtual drive and rip it so I could apply the altered .ifo & .bup files. Cleaned up the disc a bit with PgcEdit, some audio track IDs were still there.
