A-9
M-7 Not my cup of tea but one for the kids.

Not bad quality. It's from a dvd retail source but looks to have been shrunk down with a one click, something like dvd shrink. It's still got most of the extras etc, which in turn has made the quality of the film a little worse. On fast scenes you can see lines etc, not really troublesome for children but adults will definately notice it.

ripped/editted with DVDfab - nfo says "movie untouched"
Scream using DVDfab? hmmmm.....
quality is random throughout though - but this may be due to the source.
V 8
A 9
M 6 for mods & kiddies

V 10
A 9

Noticed the same inconsistent vid quality here and there. Audio is great. Poor job by scream here though, lots of buttons not taken care of for removed content (why fix some of the buttons but not all of them??)

V: 7.5
A: 9
M: 7 (good for kids and women)

Release: 6, because now I have to go fix all these buttons!

I get the impressiion someone deleted the wrongs buttons as there a few features left on the disc but no button for them! Which was the same for Severance as they removed the features button which meant the working commentary streams and UK trailer were unaccessable!

Don't bother getting this, while the picture is perfect as soon as there is any movement the pic breaks up with lines as mentioned above. It occurs all the way through the film and is most definately noticable. Should be nuked.

V 1
A 10
M ? wouldn't watch it will wait for a better version

Don't listen to him, gross, gross exaggeration, yes, the lines are there, though they are alot less noticeable on the TV, but are alot more obvious on VLC, something which is crap at if your previewing rars, and is overused by people.

Video is watchable, just not great.

Audio is fine, sounds a decent 5.1 Mix

Usual authoring laziness, but I'm getting used to fixing that, lol.

7/9/?

And why should it be Nuked, not Scream's fault as if this is Untouched as the NFO claims, then this is as good as a Region1 Retail is going to look, if you want a proper, then it would have to be Region3 retail for NTSC or Region2 for PAL, and even then, there is no guarentee's. like the MI3 releases.

V - 8
S - 9
M - Wife just watched it with kids and said picture was ok, you can really see the lines bad on the menu but not of the film itself.

Not looking for an argument, I KNOW you know your shit (rocky etc..many thanks by the way) but I've burned and watched the xvid which has no problems at all... I just thought that for a DVD it was a piss poor release from a normally trustworthy group and that someone could release a better or "Proper" version. I assumed it was interlaced, if its not I accept the exaggeration point, though I still wouldn't give it a 7!

I wasn't looking for an argument either, and your right, it does have interlacing problems, but if the DVD video is exactly as it is on the Retail DVD, then its nothing to do with the group, its the Company who did the Authoring, and this is the best release that we will get from a R1 Retail.

The reason the XviD is fine is because, its been re-encoded, fixing many of the problems, and the XviD has been taken from this DVD anyway.
Will this be re-encoded for a Proper, no idea, not even sure it would be allowed anyway, after an Untouched release.

My 7 is based on the majority of people watching on a average sized TV, and a 7 is more than generous for that, if you are viewing on a very large HDTV, or on a PC Monitor, then maybe it would be a 5 or 6, but in no way is it a 1, that was my only problem.

Now if this release has been re-encoded, then it deserves a low rating and to be nuked, but until we know for sure, this is the best we are getting, and i stand by the below
