this is a TS?
i kept finding myself looking for the studio branding you find on screeners. this is an outstanding quality copy. there is a slight level of video noise when viewing on a computer at full screen but this is completely invisible on a TV.
the sound is very clear but does go up and down a little. the explosions are VERY loud and the whispers are VERY low. expect to keep the remote controll in your hand to adjust the volume often or just blast it so you can still hear what they are saying when they talk low.
great copy and well worth the download
thanks centropy

Collateral Damage
[ no requesting - pHo ]
Always gotta love Centropy.... They always come out with the best...
Did anyone here actually watch this movie? I have numerous Centropy releases and they are always top quality but on this release they screwed up the aspect ratio. It looks like they were trying to crop the sides to make the picture a little bigger and wound up distorting it in the process. The picture looks somewhat compressed vertically (like in a funhouse mirror), making everyone look shorter and wider than normal. This effect bugged me so much that I could hardly pay attention to the movie for the first 30 min. (After that I got sucked into the storyline and was able to enjoy it.) If they can crop the sides a little to get a bigger picture without any distortion, I'm all for it. If they can't get rid of this distortion, then they need to go back to their standard ws releases. They did exactly this same thing with their release of The Count of Monte Cristo. If you go back and look at their earlier releases, they were more ws and there was no distortion in the picture at all. I hope Centropy gets back to the quality of their prior releases because I’m normally one of their biggest fans.
Im surprised no one mentioned the intro. Man, that took me right back, and its gotta be something when the intro is more fun to watch than the film ! (to be fair, i haven't given it a proper chance, but it doesn't look very good)
But yeah, quality wise, audio and pic were more than adequate given its labelling, nice release. Quality + Speed = Happy mo-pHo

fixin collateral damage.
You can fix the buzzy sound with cool edit 2000 (using the noise reduction facility) and rencode the sound back with the video with
Pannasonic MPEG1 Encoder, with which you can strech the video vertically if it seems squashed (using the clipping facility).
haven't done this with collateral damage yet but it fixed the buzz on the centropy Lord Of The Rings, and a couple of other films.
email me at [email protected] for help and i can post full details if they are wanted.
I know this seems a bit much but i am really picky and i pass the movies on to my friends and i like to think i am giving them the best i can.
