Not to echo a lot of the posters on that site but I'm glad I waited as well to buy my Xbox360, actually was pretty close to picking one up just this week. Good thing, from the sound of it, that I waited.

There's been another source confirming it so I'm not unconvinced its real. The HDMI port doesn't have to be "correct" it could be a propriety connection (which wouldn't be surprising) so wouldn't therefore have too look lke a normal HDMI port.

Anyway, the majority of xbox360 kids don't care. If you've got a 360 already it offers very little over the current one, and certainly nothing to make you think "zing! thank god i waited 12 months", the HDD will be available separately and HDMI *gasp* isn't anything to get excited about. Its nice that there's a slightly more advanced version out, but it makes no difference to current users, and nothing really to brag about if you're a new user.

very little over the old one? the only game you seen played on it been call of duty 2? so far ps3 hasnt got shit on it, im not an xbox kiddy, i have both.. xbox, ps2, 360, ps3. as far as next gen goes, 360 is where its at currently, and with the ps3 being only a cunts hair more powerful, and the upcoming death of exclusives, i dont see another contender around. Yeah they'll have to do something to answer for the HD space issue and the lack of HDMI support, but im doubting alienating their core supporters is the route they'll go. And anyone who doesnt think the 360 offers more than the original xbox.. pop in gears of war, best looking console game to date, one of the best shooters available. Resistance: Fall of man has nothing in comparison, i realize you're probably a wii kinda guy pHo, but wii isnt even in the next gen war honestly, its more of a side console that owners of either 360 or ps3 will pick up. its not exactly a next gen console, and from what i've seen with my short time playing with one, the only thing it offers above the gamecube is the flavor of the month motion sensor controllers.. not to mention its pretty much marketed for 10+

so far my ps3 is just serving as a george foreman grill shaped paperweight, im sure good games will come for it, but im personally gonna be more geared to play my 360, which kinda makes me sad cause i was always a playstation guy.. but in this day and age, its hard to make a game thats not easy to complete, and with sony having pure crap for online support, if youre into online gaming at all. the 360 is pretty much the only option, sony will never have anything on par with xbox live. sure sony's online support is free... but you really do get what you pay for here.. and when you're able to get xbox live for 30.00 USD for a full year.. cmon

i'll prolly end up with a wii too.. cause the wife likes all the girly kiddy games. im just sick of this motion sensor fad

ive got a 360 already and im not to bothered about the new system , would a hdmi port make that much difference to the picture ? , and the 120 gb hd seem's a little extreme to me since ive still got 7.9 gb on my standard hd , i only use it to store game saves and demo's on it , it's nice that thier still trying to improve but i wont be upgrading.

and yes.. cod2 is a great game, but it looks like complete s hit compared to cod3 or gears of war. agree? i guess i coulda said sonic the hedgehog or tony hawk american wasteland eh?

oh god sonic.. releasing a demo of that got about 80% of the people i knew who preordered it to cancel.. nyuk nyuk.

I've not played COD3 but i know a lot of people who prefer COD2 to it, it doesn't seem to have gone down that well with everyone. I might pick it up in the future. GOW is an absolute A* title tho, and so it should be given the hype and development title. Anything less and MS would have had a lot of explaining to do.

Good to see the XBox360 getting a bit of a steroid injection, its certainly making it a bit more appealing to myself... Once the v2 comes out.

Now, as for the comments about the Wii being underpowered. ok, it's not the powerhouse that the 360 and PS3 obviously are but it's no slouch. Even though the res is a little low in Zelda, it's stunning at times. Many of the other upcoming games look pretty spanking too. Also, Sony and Microsoft could release motion sensing controllers tomorrow and they would die on their arse, just as any other "required" peripheral does for consoles. If games are going to demand it, it should be included with the console - many people baulk at the cost of purchasing a game AND the hardware required to play it... For those of you who can remember that far back, think "MegaCD" or "32X"

Statistically... 9 out of 10 people actually enjoy gang rape.

I sold a 32X a year ago or so. I played with it a few times, had about 5 games and it truly was a heap of shite. Thank god I paid next to nothing for it. Never had the MegaCD/SegaCD but my friend bought it new for a stupid amount of monies. Night Trap was worth that money :P

I want to see Zelda running on Wii and GC side by side, to see if there's much of a difference.

To be honest the 360 is a good little console but the volume of GOOD games for it is few and far between. Mine's gone relatively untouched for some time, I recently gave Lost Planet a go and it was fun but the only two titles since purchasing it some 4 or 5 months back that have been played for greater than a couple of hours have been Dead Rising and Gears of War.

Although I hear Worms HD is hitting Xbox Live Arcade soon. That's a guaranteed purchase right there.

On the other hand, my Wii has been getting a pounding (insert masturbation joke here) since I got it late December. I've been spending any free time I have on Zelda and when friends are over it's Wii sports or Rayman Raving Rabids. Hell, even the gf who HATES video games wants to play Wii bowling.
