not really a encoding problem just.......
I recently downloaded vomits dark ride and when I was done i went back to delete the files and a message screen keeps popping up the message says: cannot delete vmt-dark-xvid it is being used by another person or program, close any programs that might be using the file and try again, well I cant figure out what other program might be using it, I have never had this problem before, any suggestions or could you point me to the forum that I shoulkd be in.
thank you
It's stating the obvious but I'd suggest rebooting first as this will usually clear any locks that an application has on a file.
If that doesn't work, I'm sure somebody here knows of a utility that identifies which application is locking a particular file.
Pretty common problem, instead of having to reboot everytime you want to delete a file try this
Cool unlocker program
Install it, then just right click on the offending file and select unlock. Then delete the little bastard.
I came here to post a link to "Unlocker" ... I hate Cupidstunt

Neversoft, if it is any comfort to you, I got the link from here and with an educated guess my money is on you being the 'someone here'
Ok, I quoted my source, no plagiarism here.

interesting that when someones nick reflects the female gender....all the posts are polite and helpful..
if it was a guy posting it would be the usual "flame him to hell that stupid fucker" or call him spastic lol
and that is as it should be...

/me takes a 3rd bow.
i used to have this problem whenever i deleted fairly large files. i would simply kill explorer and then run it
it's a quick fix but not a stable one.

Relax guys... The "43" in the nick is CountryGrl's age and diameter of her neck in inches.
65dos... I'll go for a coffee, so long as it's spiked with Rohypnol and you use Vicks Vapour Rub instead of lube
