A TELECiNE released *before* a CAM or TELESYNC , SAOSiN is tearing shit up

Not much to say other then great rip , the AR/Crop is perfect , the colors are perfect , No flickering around the edges or motionblurness as a TELESYNC would have , overall great rip. (dont let the jpegs fool ya ) Sound so far also sounds excellent.

Great First online copy ! , wont be needing another one now until retail.

Also Two Thumbs up and a Hell Yeh for your nfo SAOSiN , i agree with everything said in it.

Ignore the few previous posters - this is not dvd quality. It is a great first release but it is no where near dvd quality. The transfer could of been alot better but it is still a great release regardless.

ANOTHER TS labeled as a TC

Are you people blind? This is ONCE AGAIN a TS that's been shot with a HD camera. The colour saturation and other wonderful crispness comes from the fact that the HD camera captures at nearly 2x the normal rate and has a far better lense.

This is a TS. The ghosting and trails pretty much indicates it's a TS. SAOSiN might have bought this silver.. then again they might have shot it themselves. Either way they should have labeled it as a TS and made VCD and maVen look bad.

If you don't believe me.. that's nice. MOST of the recent TC's from groups like TUN/SAOSiN are all the same. TS's labeled as TC's. I think MAYBE the Sahara TC was actually a TC. I expected better from SAOSiN

Is it me or is the audio of the characters voices are little high-pitched! I know it was a catch! The video is perfect but the audio is a little high pitched some how, I never saw that happened before. Well theres a first for everything. I hope Saosin doesn't a proper of this. It's a great copy being it as though the movie just hit the big screen!!!!

That's odd, though.. you think SAOSiN would know better than to mislabel something like this. Are we sure it's a TS? I don't really care about the film, but I think I'll take a gander at the Sample when I get the chance, just to see what they're on about with the TS/TC thing.

They do have a point in the NFO about the re-encoders, though... I, for one, would be kinda miffed if the lamers cause future great releases from SAOSiN (and any other group with similar thoughts) to be all watermarked and shit.

Lets put it this way , past SAOSiN movies, Robots , Hitch , Hostage , The Amityville Horror , Beauty Shop, list goes on , all their TELESYNC's all had one thing in common , they all had dark flickering in them and slight motionblurness.

Now , Go to the brightest scene in this movie, and take a screenshot .. this copy doesnt have any Motionblurness nor does it have flickering around the edges, which are common with SAOSiN TS's.

Also last week a Russian TC was floating around (different copy) of this movie that didnt look very good , more of a TS but actually was a TELECiNE. Which proves that yes a TC can be released even before it hits the monopoly North American Theaters.

Also how long does it take to make a TC ? doesnt take 2 weeks as TUN proved with Hostage ...

Now lets see where all this mislabled TS started ... oh ya it came from Centropy members ! (suprise) then filtered down to nforce/vcdquality.

Seriously why does SAOSiN need to mislable ...

The Only mislabling i see latley is the Centropy/VideoCD "Guess Who" copy....

Also this copy is mint , for how early it is, who's gonna proper SAOSiN anyway (cause they *think* its mislabled), Centropy/VideoCD ? .. their TS's as you could tell by Ice Princess and Guess who look worse then SAOSiN's for flickering. TUN with another TC ? Well their russian TC source was out last week and it looks like crap ...

Basically to sum it up , ******* nuked this for mislabled.cam (suprise) , and another grp who has been doing shit in the TS scene cried it was a TS so a *few* places nuked it on a hunch ..

So nuke away , you wont get a better copy till retail ...

I have to say... fuck it weither it's TS or TC... it's Very good.. It would and could possibley over run a SCR release months from now. But IRC_Moviefan... "you wont get a better copy till retail " I would call that wrong because a DVDSCR Culd beat it. But hell with it.. this will hold us over for months.

And I couldn't be wrong in less then a week that Lame bootleggers will start selling the version. I really wouldn't know though, I don't bother with them. Waste of cash lol

EDIT: Funny... I started looking on some torrents for the movie (I got bored but wasn't going to d/l) and found XXX.2.The.Next.Level.TS.LD.German.SVCD-GTR.torrent looks like a TS was about in german!

Actually it originally had russian audio and its the TC i was talking about in my post way up there ^^^ , that copy has been out for over a week and its was orignally a russian TC but looks more like a TS ...

And you guys are right watch some lame ass will try to re-encode this and claim it. We lost Maven. SAOSIN is threatening to watermark. Lame asses leave there shit alone get better equipement or better skills and don't claim anyone elses work! 10/10/9 (went to the theatre and saw it friday this movie rocks!). I as good as this looks I may not even buy the DVD when it breaks. NAH! I will buy the DVD and put it up somewhere

lets admit whether it be a tc or ts,SAISON at this present moment is the ultimate in pre release material,so lets all visit the nfo and ask ourselves whether we want this to occur or try to flame reencodes or even still mods can act on behalf of us all,to an extent i understand but still, when your on a good thing stick to it .



note:would be nice to hear from the champs just to either confirm or admit mistake in ts,tc bullshit, that imo would help alot of the prior posts imo

SAOSIN ,,It seems like this exellent release group is crying a little because of reencoding thier releases.....i dont wanna watch a movie with audio bleeps or a watermark......if this will be the case dont even bother releasing anything again,because it will put you way down the release group list with the likes of TMD in my book...get a grip ...I think SAOSIN is a great release group ,but grow up ...

Like i said this was sheep nuked, this copy is mint for a TELECiNE possibly one of the best TC's this year (compairing to TUN/Chakara TC's). Whoever nukes it is really stupid as this will be the best copy untill either an unmarked DVDScr or a DVDRip.

The people/group who started the nuke "mislalbed TS" , i would love for them to release a SVCD TS PROPER (not a CAM like they been doing) so they can be laughed outta the scene.

Sony execs are definitely gonna be pissed about this one. very good quality 1.5 days after theater release.

After watching this, I'd say this is definitely a TC. very clean colors. Hardly, if no ghosting at all; no flickering, and full credits at the end.

Some of the cgi is tacky, but overall a very balanced action movie for pure entertainment

This is definitely a quality release. No matter whether TC, TS, DVDScr..does it really matter. Fact is video is right on point. I would only say that, and I don't know if there's more than one source, but the audio definitely isn't the best that I've heard. It actually sounds a lil' digitized and light. I'm not complaining. I wouldn't pay to see this movie in the theatre, but makes for a great Sunday watch. Keep up the good work.

I think that's how a large portion of the Scene works anyway.. very few groups these days actually record their own sources, it's all about who has access to the best video/audio, not who actually "makes" it.

Just saw the sample. There is some ghosting, but it's limited only to certain shots.. most shots are clean as a whistle, but every now and and then you'll see a shot with ghosting on every frame.. but as soon as there's a cut, it cleans up. No clue how that happens.

But one thing for sure... this is not a TS.

Actually that TC your talking about was released on BT , and by a German Group , even thought it was a TC , it looked like a TS, (seen sample last week) , This is definatly not the same source but yet a second TC source of this movie , this week. As even the best cleanup job & filters on the *other* TC , still would have had it looking like a TS.

watched a few of the first cd rars, got to say really nice release saying it has only just come out, i would say its a defo TC, looked on cd 2 and it has full credits and no one walks infront of camera, so they nukers should watch the release before judging, great work saosin.

Watched this release on the dvd player. Video was spot on. Irritating BROWN bars at the top and bottom. You get used to it after a while though. At times, the sound was soft, and then suddenly goes loud again.

Overall, a very good release though. Movie is crap.

What about the rest of the credits? The opening credits, etc? I've no interest in seeing the film, so there's little motivation for me to actually download the whole thing just to look at a few frames of credits to solve a fairly worthless argument. I did look at the sample, and I've never seen a TS look that good. Ever. Did SAOSiN just get lucky with that or something?

Not convinced its possible to have a TS this good, but i do know the bit you are talking about.

The majority of the credits are warped anyway, so you can tell till the end, but, there does look like a possible angle at that point and it also looks like a little shaky just after the Dolby DTS logos appear, but i have discovered recently that is possible with Telecines also.

Is it a Telecine, i believe so, but to be honest i dont acually care either way, this looks better than any TS ive saw, and better than most Telecines.

As always Saosin has given us great releases, but most posters neglect to tell u is that they continue to have the same audio problems everytime, it's that damn cut in sound every 5-10 seconds. At least in this release it's not as noticeble. Just hope that for their next release they solve that problem and then they'll be unstoppable.

Just watched the first five rars, and I must say that it is very impressive, i've seen worse DVDSCR XviD's (one that comes to mind was DVL's rip of 2 Fast 2 Furious..).

If it's a TC or TS, i'm not sure. But it really does not matter.. the only thing that would make me think it's a TS is that it lacks the usual noise/grain associated with most TC's. Plus a slight 1-2 second flicker made me second guess, but overall this release is truely amazing. Either the best TS i've ever seen or one of the best TC's i've watched.

Great work SAOSiN, ripping it up guys

Stop using VLC Player, that only happens when u use that, the sound is fine if you use any other player.

I had the same problem, not a big deal since i played it using tv-out, and powerdvd.

And the video quality is spot on, only problem i had was the sound volume changing all the time.

Real low when people speak and loud as fudge when there are explosions and shit..

jesus, this is still going on, nuked or not its the best copy around, so what if its a TS or TC it still looks great, and the they with the credits on a tilt, this how they are mean't to be if you watch the dam film, it does have a sound bleep when he in in that big house and he just gets out of the shower, i transfered it to dvd and when the bleep happened it when't to cd 2, but just did it again and it was fine.

I went to see it in the theater Friday and the text is tilting because its part of the movie... just ending credit effects... instead of straight down same old stuff.... Hope you don't rate the Starwars movie that will HOPEFULLY be released... probably say something like the begining text starts out big then fades...lol..

Corrupt Rar / Torrent?

From what I can see:

I have twice downloaded the same torrent file, from different portals.

The result are the traditional CD1, CD2 and sample folders.

I Unrar CD1's files and see a BIN file only. I move this to another folder to work on.

I Unrar CD2's files and see BIN and CUE files. I move the BIN to another folder to work on.

Within MPEG-VCR, there is a point at which the playback of the first BIN catches and stops.

Within ISO Buster, there is a point at which the extraction throws up error messages, concerning consecutive sectors.

Of course I can cut the piece that catches, but the output then looks strange.

How come some seem to notice problems and others do not or choose not to comment (fear of looking foolish?)?

What is the best course of action?

Can the invidual rar files be examined? If so, how?

Can they individually be downloaded? If so, how?

Is it a case of waiting for another version of the same thing?

I do not want to wait for hours, for each download, to find the same errors!

All i can say is this is an exellent rls. Watched the sample and some of cd1. Im not gonna watch the movie..... But, in responce to thier watermarks, i encourage it. i say Every 10 mins a nice "saosin" logo pops up in random places around the screen. It would stop ghey re-encoders (for the most part) or, they should burn a transparent saosin into the upper left hand corner in which changes locations during the film.
I dont care if theres little water marks here and there. Perhaps it will teach the lame scene a lesson. (one it needs very bad) When a group starts talking about water marks, put it this way: Its a damn good thing they are deciding that instead of just going underground and not releasing.

So re-encoders, stop your lameness and go buy silvers from poor mexicans who swarm the streets.

Well, I think Horton is officially full of it now... Blayze is right, the "tilted" credits are part of the film. That was what I was thinking when I read what Horton wrote, a lot of these "hip" action films do that sort of thing in their credits. If you continue to watch the credits, you'll also see they "wobble" back and forth as they're scrolling... ain't no cammer in the world A) Stupid enough to wobble the camera while shooting or B) Skilled enough to get such smooth movement with a handheld camera. Howsabout looking at something OTHER than a single frame of credits before making that kind of judgment, eh?

As a counterpoint, I'd like to point out the rest of the credits... including the opening credits and even the "Directed by" bits before the tilted stuff. They're all perfectly level. Which means it's a TC. Hell, if you look at the SAMPLE, there's perfectly level text there with the little robot thing and the on-screen view of the intruders. Add to that the sheer quality of the thing.. ain't nobody here seen a TS looked this good.

As for the Russian argument, wouldn't a Russian source have it's credits in Cyrillic lettering instead of Latin? Granted, not all movies do that, but most do.

I just looked through mine, and there is a glitch at about 40:19. My computer played through it, only stopped for a half a second or so, but it might be enough to fuck up TMPEGEnc and/or a set-top DVD player. You're right, something like that would call for a repack, just to make sure it's a nice clean MPEG.

hi this is a good pic i would give it a good 8-9 for tc
but there is a problem with this film the sound cuts out when he comes out of the shower for at lest 3-4 mins of sound is lost then it comes back again (cd1).

overall for a early release i would this is the best so far but sound going for 3-4 mins is a pain.

Yes, there is a glitch at about the 40 minute mark of CD1. And yes, if you don't do something to correct that or if your DVD player can't skip past the glitch it will appear that the movie is missing roughly 10 minutes (the remaining time on CD1 after the glitch.) And yes, the glitch in video does cause the audio to go slightly out of sync for the rest of CD1 but it syncs again at the beginning of CD2 and stays in sync for the rest of the movie.

But that is way different than posting that the release itself is missing footage, that's just not true. IMO a CD1 repack would be in order if only to help the noobs who can't fix this themselves in about the 30 seconds it takes to do so.

Lighten up fella...it's a fantasy,action film for teenagers. Realism isn't on the agenda. Personally I enjoyed it a lot more than the very lame original. Better cars, girls and guns.
And as BiggD23 points out..there is nothing missing from this film. All it needs is a small edit at the glitch and the rest is just perfect.

MoF's audio has ANOTHER audio source it can clearly be shown in several programs! (check yourself)

and for the video source... well it has been on the russian market for 2 weeks so its literally no reencode just a new encode from same source.

Oh, PULEEZE. That's one of the soldiers. You'll notice toward the end of the shot, he moves into the light.. show me a guy in a theatre with that capability of jumping into the film... And you'll also notice when the film cuts to the next shot, the guy miraculously vanishes. In one frame! Shit, I wish I could move that fast...

If this is a TS done with a HD cam, then SaOsin must be using one expensive fuckin cam, because you can clearly see the occasional blips that only come directly from a reel.

Also, if this is a TS....wouldnt you think they'd do ALL of their TS's with this equipment?

Quit hatin'....these guys are on top of their game, and they have no need to lie about any of their RLS's. Props to SaOsin for providing yet another release that we're sure to see some jackass trying to re-encode and steal for themselves in about a week or 2.

After watching it, MoF did just do a re-encode. When you look at the part with Ice Cube being set up in the house (right after the glitch), there is a film glitch that happens in the exact same spot with this SaoSin release.

Dang, this was an EXCELLENT release SAOSiN!!! Thanks alot. The Video is damn near perfect. The Audio is Awesome as well. The movie itself was also really good. Alot better than that piece of shizzle with Vin Diesel. Thanks again SAOSiN. I didnt notice any problems with this one at all. It sounded awesome coming thru my Home Theater Surround Sound System...had the house rumbling in a few parts :P The Pic is very crisp and clean. The colors are excellent. It didnt look washed at all. as stated on some standalones it will freeze and its 16:9 but kinda seems funny but best first rls ive seen in a long time maybe ever... this would be the perfect format for "THAT" movie we all want to see this month

While watching this the picture became very distorted in parts and the sound often went out of sync. Not a bad release but should have been repacked, but I guess it's pointless now seeing as Tun released their own copy. Not the best telecine that I've ever seen, but very good. Some pixelation or motion blur, sound is very low when people talk and very loud when explosions, etc occur. Movie was ok, I've seen better.

Weird... I tried to vote 8/6/2 for this flick and it changed it to a 10/8/2

Anyway, I had no trouble extracting the MPEG from CD1 with VCDGear, if that helps anyone.
