Has HOLLYWOOD GONE MAD!

I usually would put this in the Movie Rumors section but seeing as this is the worst news I have heard all day and possibly my entire life (about movies) I thought I'd put it here

Lavigne's SK8ER BOI Goes to Film

Paramount Pictures and MTV Films have acquired the film adaption rights to Avril Lavigne's song "Sk8er Boi." David Zabel (ER) is set to adapt the song into a film about a teenage girl that rejects a potential boyfriend because her friends disapprove of him. Later in life, he becomes a rock star and she begins feeling regret. Music production team The Matrix will consult on the screenplay and will create an event album for the film with new songs.

I can't stand Mtv but whos to say that a movie like that wouldn't be bad? I was the skater dude who was rejected by the preppy chick cause i wasn't like her, so i can kinda relate. but I totally see what your saying though

At this rate, Blockbuster's gonna have to open up a new dvd section devoted to these garbage movies about songs or ones starring pop singers.

Singers should sing, actors should act, get it right mtv/hollywood.

...and if Avril doesn't get over the fact that she's just a pop singer and not in some metal band, i'm gonna puke.

A lot of music is about playing a role. You think everything singers sing about actually happened to them?

Look at tupac shakur. Good rapper, excellent actor. Shit, people don't always cross over well, but you don't HAVE to go and see the films.

If out of a hundred films, 99 are shit, at least there's one gridlock'd in there. Not saying gridlock'd is a masterpiece, but it showed real promise.

There have been a few decent crossovers. This ain't even about crossover, this is fucking mtv making money off of stupid kids.

I have a theory that MTV is the cause of nearly every stupid thing that happens. Either directly by, giving shitbags like BackDoorBoys or (take your pick), a forum to inflict thier "music", and therefore giving them some kind of relevence. Or indirectly by poisioning its viewers into thinking that what they are seeing and hearing is reality, or real art. Think about it! If you see some skinny white boy wearing a full suit of "fubu" and a backwards upside down visor, you know its cuase of MTV. When some fuck speeds down your street at 3am in the ford escort(with special paint job) blasting the lastest, greatest week long hit, you know its cause of MTV.

mtv gets blamed for a lot of bad stuff, and i agree in part, but radio's as bad, and most tv is shit. i don't watch tv. i watch like, 10 programmes, and nothing in between. tv gets turned off. tv bores me shitless. it's not just Mtv.

fuckin avril... somebody needs to kill that bitch... she fuckin calls herself punk.. and then in an interview.. has never heard of the ramones.. oh.. ok avril.. youre punk.. this whore is responsible for a whole new leagure of dumbfucks running around listening to avril and good charolotte.. wearing spiked bracelets.. talking about how punk they are.. I GOT NEWS FOR YOU ASSHOLES!
