not really sure whats going on here...
the forum loads quickly and i can always view everything great and fast however for the last few days posting has become damn neer impossible for me. in fact i dont even know if i will be able to post this.

i have been trying to post a reply to the "The Learning Curve *SVCD* *LIMITED*" thread for about 2 hours now. i tried 12 times and every attempt just hangs indefinatley (one try i let run for 30 minutes and the globe icon in internet explorer was still spinning and the status bar at the bottom of the screen that shows progress was sitting at the exact same point it stoped at in each of the 6 tries before that. its like some threads it is just impossible for me to reply to.

i just started having this problem a few days ago and it has gone from inconvenient to intolerable. i cant really see anything wrong on my end. i am running win2k with Internet Explorer 6. i have a cable modem and it is linked right to the PC with no router or hub inbetween. there is no networking involved. i run zone alarm as my firewall however 4 tries even with the firewall shut down did not work.

am i loosing my mind or is there something going on on the server side that is causing me these problems? i just cant figure this out and im getting very tired of it.

argh now it is time to hit the submit reply button for the first time and see what happens

*** edit ok so i posted this with no prob then i figured everything is cool so i go back to the "The Learning Curve *SVCD* *LIMITED*" thread and try to reply and nothing. is there a word limit that i can not go over? because sometimes im long winded.

Try using this url to browse the forum.. http://www2.vcdquality.com/forum/ thats hosted on the new webserver i'm building.. i've had some other reports of that same problem but i havent been able to reproduce it myself or track it down to figure out whats going on. i'm fixing to go hop on vbulletin's support forum and see if they can help me. let me know if the new server does the same thing or not.. thanks

i went reading on the vbulletin support page.. i found out what the problem is.. its my webserver trying to send e-mail notifications to people immediately.. and its causing the reply function to wait till its done.. and if any of the e-mails its trying to send has a problem it will take a long time for it to time out.. i'm going to go fix it in a couple minutes..
