Voting
I was just browsing threw the svcd form and noticed that Jason X was voted a 10 for movie. Now I have not seen the movie my self but i'm pretty sure that it is no way close to a 10. The first thing I thought of when I seen this is "I wonder which dumbass voted it a 10" . Now it wouldn’t be a huge deal to me but I was thinking of a way to deter people casting bad votes is to be able to see who voted and what they voted. At least that way I could watch the way ppl vote and the ones that vote closes to the way I would vote would be the ones I would look for on upcoming releases.
Just my 2 cents.
Hmm i guess I could do something like that..

Sweet. Thanks for using my idea
Now that we have this feature would some sort of penalty for abuse? ie 1 1 1 or 10 10 10.
i'm going to do a thing in a bit to show their past voting history..
and it'll let people report abusers..

The only problem is if someone says that they thought Jason x wa a 10 for the movie itself, that's thier opinion, as for saying quality and sound that's different. You can't judge someone for saying that the movie is a 10. (I know what you are saying though about the constant abuse of the ratings of 1/1/1, and 10/10/10 for group haters/lovers et al).
I think it would be a great idea to clean up the voting a little bit. It's hard to decide what version to download, with so many bulls*itters on the forum.
Glad to hear that some new features are coming.

...if that made any sense it's a miracle...
X69 my kudos to you on the see who voted links.
i think something that would help clean up the voting is to eliminate any votes that show 1/1/1 or 10/10/10 form the calculation process that displays an average oin the main page. i am not saying to drop their votes all together. they should still register and in the voting history links they should still display. hey it IS fun seeing who these dumbasses are. just make it so their votes dont get included in the average. most of the voters that do 1's or 10's across the board are not smart enough to figure out their vote is not being used to calculate the average.

"pho est wonderful!" "pho est wonderful!" really, he is
not only can you now see who voted on each releases.. you can click on their username and see their history of votes.. I've been revoking voting privelages for users who have all 1/1/1 or 10/10/10 votes.. sofar i've removed about 50 users.. later tonight i'll go through and erase their votes from the system.. Also users with an * next to their name have had their voting privelages revoked..

Very good idea Dumbwaldo!
If people are really determined to vote 1/1/1 or vv, then they'll just make a new username and keep doing it...ie VCDem0n...one of the more notorious ones anyway

Thanks X69! Already I can see who "the idiots are" (I was surprised at some other more "respectable" member's votes that were totally lame as well) that vote all tens or all ones based on the group. I'm like a kid with a new GI Joe Rocket Launcher.

yes but we can monitor ip addresses and if they abuse it extremely, we start banning ranges![]()

static = will stay the same
dynamic = will change
and that is why I said ranges

Probably with monitoring the guys who vote 1/1/1 or 10/10/10 is that when the person gets the movie from the groups, some of them genuinely believe the movie either rocks or sucks the bigt one.
I have honestly voted for some films that I believe get a 10/10/10, cause thats my job, I vote on what I think is a movie online that rocks, Barbershop and The Banger Sisters are perfect examples of movies I thought had solid audio, solid video, and movie was great.
Thats just my two cents.
but in a way thats a good idea, but again it goes against what voting stands for.
I gave Jason X all 10's cause audio video and movie I thought was great, I loved how that film was made, even though film tanked at box office.
