Anyone seen the sample? Curious if this is the best release so far... Last PDVD I saw was Blade II and it was pretty good.

This was kinda predictable. Some 10 crappy rels, reencodes and alikes will be out until we see a decent dvdscr. but this is not that bad though, 7/6/6.

yo i really don't wanna sound like an idiot here...but i never really understood what a PDVD is. Does it stand for Pre-DVD, and is it therefore a DVD? or is it some other encoding i'm not thinking of?

epale1 you answered your own question. a pdvd is basically just a silver pressed onto a cd, if you were to go to search on the net for the two towers dvd and you find it for $10u.s. and its on dvd its a pdvd, Which i have boughten some, some of them are worth it IMO.
I love all the copies coming out of TTT, it makes it more interesting. And everyone who keeps saying screener needs to stop bitching. sure i want a screener myself. but I'm not saying stop releasing telesyncs and bring the screener, Harry potter 2 was out for a month before the screener came out, so stop your belly aiching, Who cares about 10 or ever 100 copies of a movie coming out. It just means more choice.
The perfect screener for whoever complains about not having one, dish out the $8 and go see the damn movie at the theatre.
I still say NEWFXP owned this movie, they had the best quality ever. that should have been a screener. hey maybe someone should mislable it as a screener and give it to everyone who says i wanna screener. lol.
I can't wait to watch this release. I love teleysncs, i wish telesyncs looked like the movie life or something like it. that was by far the best telesync i have ever seen. great release of that movie. well everyone i'm outtie. later all.

Why hasn't VCDQuality posted any JPG's or NFO's for the past like 10 releases (including SVCD, DivX, etc.)? Really starting to piss me off.

Well, I can't really comment on this release yet because this is the first I've seen of it.

just picked watched the sample from the dvd-r looks alot better than any of the other releases, good picture and sound picture is allittle grainy but hey its not a dvd good work guys

Is the video cropped or widescreen!
Is this the full movie or chopped?
Is video better than uti cam?
Is fast motion clear or blurred?

Decent very decent but we need to step up the quality level people. We shouldn't see anymore ts's next should be a screener, dvd screener, or telecine.

I think people have just gone over the top with this release.

It may be a good release but i dont think it makes up to what people have been saying it is i.e. 8/9 video or sound quality.
A 7 at best for both.

DVD Screener is need to sort this one out.

if you really want to view the nfo's just go to nforce they both up there also the dvd r nfo greets svenne so it is possible the 2 are from the same vobs same as 007 and others were passed round

The svenne version is really good of what i watched on the sample and since the rip couid have came from this dvd source its gonna be as good as if not better

The fanaticism to movie A/B/C has nothing to do with the fact that 1 (for some) precious feature is not working.

best release yet. I've downloaded the sample, and i think its a pretty blurry, the brightness is just right (beats the UTi version, Gandalf looked like shit). The audio isn't too bad. clearer than UTi's (note: the reason i'm compareing this to the UTi version is because thats what i downloaded, and was the highest rated release until this one came out). I just finished the UTi release, and i think i'll stick with it... at least until a nice DVDSCR comes out. still, props go out to JAZZUISO, for making a very good P-DVD TS. and the colors look alright to me. i would say this is the best release to date, dispite it's slight blurryness, definatley better than the UTi version, merely because theres no coughing, no sneezing, no phones going off, and no dipshits dropping an expensive DVCam (LMAO). thanks JAZZUISO, but i'll wait for the DVDSCR.

just watched sample and judging by that it is by far better than the others nice colours and sound a true t/s lets just hope the rest of it is just as good.

This release HAS a purpose. The FTF team should pay attention here considering their last rls. *THIS* is a release within good timing.

I still won't download it, and most people will do the same mainly because we've already seen the movie and we wait for a DVD rip + size, but this is a REAL Telesync.

This team knows the score.

Watching the sample I can only say this is an example for everyone that puts a "telesync" label when having a poor cam quality and an external mic.

All cams can take external mics, this fact doesn't make their result a TS. Just a better cam rip.

Well done. 10/10 for a TS, 6/10 for high standards.

Ok , this is better than the UTi release - for those saying it is not [ are you blind ] .
The Audio does come through as Dolby Digital 5.1 [ although the sound is not great it is most certainly the best yet ! - some of the bass comes through with this release ] .
Those of you that are bashing this release are probably only doing so because you cannot burn dvd-r , if you cannot then just download it and watch the vobs with PowerDVD [ very simple ] .
This is the best version available so far [ I have seen all the releases ] ! If you want to wait for a DVD Screener then please do but if you want the best available get this release .

this is no way near a dvd but we all know what a pdvd is.

i remember reading bout dvds of this in asia. about 5000 copies were taken by police there. this could be one of those copies or just a telesync fixed a lil bit and copied onto a dvd disc. i know some sites that sell theater movies but theyre telesyncs downloaded burned to dvd disc and printed with fake glossy labels and the case is fake.

well be getting a dvd screener soon. look at how close we are to it.

first a cam then a ts then svcd ts and then finally a PDVD TS from Asia (SILVER).

The sample is 40 meg because it is a dvdr not a svcd or vcd . They have posted this in the wrong section by accident and have not cault it yet.

I have faith that a screener will be released, it is Academy Awards time so they will be sending out a screener to the Academy people. It's just a matter of a group procuring one and releasing it. For now, this release will tide me over 7/7/9

This is odd.

The UTi Release ranks in video quality with 7.5 points before the Jazzuiso with 7.4.

The Jazzuiso one deserves a much better rating imho.

Hell i would be happy with more telesyncs, I love telesyncs, my friends laugh at me for watching bootlegs, but hell i don't care there free. I saw the two towers at the theatre twice, but i saw the bootlegs just as many times, there great. I do have one question though why is everyone against FTF? is it there name? they do put a few decent releases, they put out more than any other group it seems like. I do think uti is a better group but they only put out the best of what they get. FTF just puts it out there for all of us damn leachers for free.
I use Kazaa i love it, I don't give a damn, I will use it forever, I have been downloading movies ever since hannibal bootleg came out, I just heard of this site about 4 months ago. maybe less time. but what i am saying is i get all the movies i want. why does everyone have a problem with kazaa? give one valid reason. this release is farily useless. it's just an average ts, except it's like 3x bigger. what a waste. audio is half decent, video isn't even comparable to uti's. meh..

Yeah i think 2-4 days is slow for getting a new release, actually not really, most of the time i get the release about 2 days after its released, and for fakes, there noticable, everyone once in a while you find one thats not, they make programs to help you out so you don't get fake files. as for being slow. all p2p servers i've tried are slow. Winmx is terrible. queued for 20 hours or 100 people in front of you, and shit like that. so overall when it comes to p2p its about the best. I got the two towers in just a about 2 hours 3 days after it came out. which i don't think is that bad. Harry potter 2 screener i got 2 days after it came out, it took a day to download. I guess you just have to know how to use it. Alot of people like me use kazaa because i can't stand irc. most of you will say i don't understand how it works, and hell your right. but i like kazaa. I don't ask anyone to like it, just because i do. kazaa is alot like IRC in the fact that you have to know how to use both to get what you want. so i don't think that dude gave that valid of a reason, sure hes right if you don't know how to use the program. I won't say he is wrong. well you can all blast me if you want go right ahead. lol. you all have a great day.

my verdict:
a reasonable ts: video 7.5 (bit washed out and tad blurred in some scenes) audio 8 (clear) film 9.

Probably half the people that say kazaa sucks, probably have it running right now downloading a movie. lol. I know that alot of people can't stand kazaa for the lack of svcd, and vcds but I prefer divx, one disk, i just use my tv out to watch movies, i do have a stand alone dvd player that can play vcd, svcd, but don't use it that much. but hell it comes down to this. everyone has there own opinion and thats it. I can say how much i like kazaa, someone can talk all day about how much they hate kazaa. I am open to new ideas, I have tried IRC before and i can't stand it. but what are some of the perks about IRC? maybe i will give it a chance again if someone can tell me why i should. not faster downloads, not saying you can't get fakes on irc, because you can. in an earlier post on TTT that topic came up, it was either the tcf, or the first ftf version. Also i got a question which i have asked quite a few times for anyone who can answer this. why do people have a huge problem with ftf? well kazaa haters i'm outtie like the afro. later all

personally, thats not a bad quality release picture at times could be better but gives an all round comfortable watch.
Only got TCF and UTI1-2 CD's to compare it with (ok i got the other jpegs aswell but that doesnt do much justice).

Thats my opinion of this...as for a screener, stop waiting and get a tidy release...u wont see too much of a difference, ok theirs the colour fades and AC3 sound to think of.....but stop being so picky.....i cant see me getting my hands on a screener for this till well after the press and by that time sum1 else wudda got their hands on it.

Don't know if any of you saw the DVDScr version of Simone, but it had very annoying Black and White scenes spliced throughout it as an antipiracy measure. Also the MPAA banner came up every four minutes...

Well, Simone was released by, you guessed it, New Line. So, unfortunately I would guess that any forthcoming LOTR DVDScr will have the same measures incorporated into it... So, even when the DVDScr of LOTR comes, be prepared to be disappointed, as it may be that it sucks hugely cos of these measures :/

does anyone think that this version is wroth while getting,'cause i can wait for the dvd screener but where i live, this movie is not playing until jan, 23rd. that sux.

just watched this release on dvdr and it is stunning i cant believe people r saying the uti release is better this is very close to some screeners i seen pic and sound is fine even the subs when they talk elvish etc are readible and straight best version by far only thing i will say lets it down is there are a few scenes missing only 2 i noticed other than that this is a true t/s .

The photo's look pretty clean, still have the Blue hint to it, and we all know the screener will be in full Surrond sound, which is why I wait till the actuall screener comes out to make it my final download. If you've picked up one of the TS's keep it and just wait till a clear SCREENER comes out that is NOT mislabled WORKPRINT which I hate cause as good as it may be, the time code and lighting is not as good as a SCREENER which is usually like the final release for the public. So, let's all hurry up and wait, it will just take....HOPEFULLY a few weeks to get to us....I hope!!

I'm a n3wbie. So forgive my question if it's dumb.

The JAZZUISO and SVENNE versions were released on the same day. Did these guys team up and create their versions from the same telesync video source? JazzUiso encoding for DVD-R release and Svenne for SVCD release from the same video?

curious.. seems like every single one has had a few scenes missing.. since it's such a long movie it's gonna be like that until we get a VHS/DVD screener isnt it?

OK, time for my two cents. This version looks to be better than the UTI version. I was impressed with the UTi, and do not think that this version is that much better. I mean, its still a Telesync. This is not from a DVD source at all. Colors are a bit washed, and its still bright. Sound is tinny, but better than UTi's CAM (just when are they going to get a direct sound hookup?) No way i am going to waste all my Bandwidth to DL 4 friggin CD's of another Telesync! UTi's is good quality, and its very widespread. You can probably get it overnight. I am still waiting for the DVD screener. I don't want to assume 100% that there will be one, but last year i think it was Jan 16 that it was released.

True enough, The first few Telesync's gave us the movie to play with. So enough with the "this is the best" on anymore re-encoded TS's, and groups saying that they have the best.

When the SCREENERS, not workprint-timecoded, SVCD's come out. Then we can say how great the SURROND is on it and qualiity of the DVD Rip. Once I DL a TS I won't do it again till a screener comes out so I don't have to listen to it in MONO.

And PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't release a WORKPRINT calling it a Screener. If it has a time-code or a water mark all the way thru the entire movie it is NOT a screener.....and you'll get flamed from the masses if you say it is. Be cool and NFO the truth, and no TS's re-encoded to SVCD's and callling them a screener. We've see that one a few times too, the The Ring that someone put on one VCD, what a twit that guy was!!!!

those of you that do not wish to download a DVD-R can now find a 3 disc SVCD version from VpR floating around [ still better than the UTi cam but also has a couple short scenes cut out ] .

Some Info

Though, unburnable without a DVD-burner, this looks to be best by far of all rls' to date. The sound, although not quite there yet, is far above the UTi rls. No coughing, laughing or other background noises interfering with the sound,as with the UTi version. Also, no idiot dropping the camera several times and subsequently destroying bits and pieces of a great movie.

BE SURE to open your TAR files with Winzip rather than WinRar, as the last two files in each of the TARs for some odd reason are not recognized by WinRAR.

Also, before even downloading, be sure that your file system is NTFS not FAT32, as FAT32 systems do not support files larger than 4 Gig. If you have a FAT32, use Partition Magic or some such app to switch your file system over to NTFS, otherwise do not even bother.

Enough! DVD SCR plz!

How come these are accepted releases when they are missing scenes? I don't understand the logic of that? Are any of the releases full? If a video is bad quality isn't it usualed 'nuked'? Doesn't 'missing' scenes constitute bad video?

I have the TCF version which is missing a good 3-4 minutes when Aragorn goes over the cliff...

Started getting the pvdvd version, then saw 6-7 minutes missing when they re-capture Gollum in the forbidden pool...

I didn't even want to mess with the univesally 'hailed' UTI version...WHY? Cause I read early on that the camera-man drops the camera SEVERAL times...

Call me crazy or unappreciative but why is this happening, I can't remember another film 'missing' scenes like this...I know the film is long but jeez...At this point I'd settle for a 'fair' release if I knew it was FULL...

And pleez, it'd be nice if someone told us what and if it was missing scenes in the nfo...

I know I don't risk my neck to get and release these movies and I've always been very appreciative of them...so this is really just a fan ranting...

the german ACP Source seems to be pretty complete!

Sometimes the tape can run out in the Cam - especially for very long movies like this. It takes time to plop a new one in

it's FREE, a few minutes missing is fine. If you don't like it then you better pray for a DVD screener.

what we do is not really so bad... it's not like most of us aren't going to buy the dvd (with the additional extra footage) anyway.

I finally got around to watching this release (actually the scvd reencode by vpr). The overall quality is really nice. The colors seem to be a little faded, but other than that the video is pretty good.

Telling me to wait for a screener is a bit pointless...just like everyone else I want that...Although I seem to be among the few who are being patient about it...

Also telling me a few minutes missing from a movie is no big deal is very idiotic...I think of countless movies where missing 2 or 3 can totally 'F' up the entire movie...and I think in this case missing the scene where gollum is captured is horrible, you miss a very important part....

But whatever...now I'll tell myself to 'pray' for a screener copy...

I like some others may be convinced we are going to have no screener for this one. With that we may see more private invites in order to screen movies for other major movies from now on. It's time we start getting wicked with encoding skills. Encode like there may never be a screener. Let's get midevil!!!
