haunted mansion

just watched it, as i said with last samurai . bang on. shame about the audio not being dolby but good. why waste time downloading the dvd when you can download the xvid in a quarter of the time & encode it yourself, the good thing with xvid is no lose off quality.....

you're fucking kidding me, right?

i like xvid myself, but...c'mon...no loss of quality?

besides that...this is one of the worst xvid's i've ever seen.

20 MB undersized. and ch-ch-choppy as all hell.

shift+delete.

Undersized yeah Not the best rip Ive seen either, but its watchable overall. If it plays choppy you might need to upgrade to xvid 1.0.

have it. still chopy.

i know what i'm doin'.

nice pic and sound. for 1 cd is very good.

just a question: why to convert to dvd-r an xvid, when you can play it on the tv with the tv-out from your video card ?

Posted by chilli201 on 03-28-2004 11:21 PM:

i prefer to convert them to dvd-r .i used to use tv out but when converted to dvd looks sounds better i think & the kids can watch it when ever they like on there dvd player......

Sorry to all you loosers up there, this encode should have been nuked, video is well choppy even at the start when the castle comes into view and especially bad where they whack the spider at the begining of the movie !

Posted by SMeK on 04-08-2004 03:06 PM:

if you guys with choppy video have ffdshow installed turn xvid off in the options, that should make it less choppy

Posted by pHo on 04-08-2004 09:53 PM:

noticed that about ffdshow myself last week.

as for the encoding to dvdr thing.. when i saw a thread in the middle of the week about people encoding divx to dvdr, i thought "nah... gotta be a few people at most".

wow.

Exactly! I download the xvid, send them to my comp in my family room or bedroom over the network, and watch em there, right off of the comp. Much easier and quicker, and I don't have to waste discs burning em, especially the shit movies.

8/9/7-my son seemed to enjoy it
