Thumbs up

One of the best screeners I have seen for awhile, you can tell it`s a VHS screener, by the colors, audio is better than the tc (even has a video buzz to it), top of the picture has a tiny vhs video linie. All this indicates to me that this IS a VHS Screener, to those that posted the "usual" nuke crap... how about keeping that another place and comment the release? As for the "nuke" someone obervious diden`t watch the release.

9/9/8

Great release, The video is topnotch and as for the audio i have no complaints (;

Video: 9
Audio: 9
Movie: 9 - If you havnt seen this movie check it out, its great.

Just a question, why are groups like SAOSiN not nuked for mislabling releases like Unleashed ( obviously not a tc but a german dvdscr redub ).and two comments aiming to discredit an NBP release and its...NUKED...???Seems there exists an obvious scene bias.Maybe valid. Maybe not. Anyhow I think its a lil hasty to declare this a tc.If a vhs is ripped properly the video has a good chance of being higher quality than a tc.For example, I use a plextor hardware encoder to rip video directly to .avi and .mpg being played from a vhs in real time. Most of my rips end up with better resolution than the average tc release.

Thumbs down

Ironicly this starts and ends at the *exact* same places as TUN's TC. Picture is identical other then NBP's is extremly overcropped and AR is changed.

VHS Screeners always are grainy and faded colors. This on the other hand doesnt have black & white scenes , no text scrolling or counter , no serials or watermarks . The Only unmarked Screeners i have seen are from Wastedtime's source , and the quality difference between WT VHS Screener movies and this is huge.

Also this definaly isnt DVD Source to lable it a DVDScreener. What is left ... TC/TS ?

This was clearly the exact same copy as TUN's TC. I dont buy that "see the line on the top that proves its a VHS screener .. BS" . Only thing original on this release was the audio, still doesnt change the fact the the picture source was the TC.

This was a waste of time and bandwidth like alot of their releases. Why release something that is exact same quality as the previous TC .. but shittier AR/crop ?

0/0/2

I tried to think of something positive to say about this movie but i cant , realising that this grp tried to pass off a TC as a Screener ... yet their the same group to bitch about if people take their source and reencode it and mislable it as something else.

have to agree here. this is way to good to be a screener. quality is too sharp.

it could be one, sort of.
maybe they copied TUN's TC onto videotape using an S-VHS recorder to get higher res and then re-captured it onto their pc and used TMPGEnc to increase saturation etc. I cant see why they would do this at all, maybe just to gain credit for other people's effort???

7/9/?-still havent watched

either way, nice effort

definitely No vhs screener
it' s a shame groups still think we' re fools here.
As for me, this is Tun' s release, they mislabeled it, so it' s nuked.

Posted by Rapalot on 06-08-2005 12:38 AM:

Sorry for the probably stupid question.
But couldn't it be a D-VHS Screener?

"Ironicly this starts and ends at the *exact* same places as TUN's TC" IRC_Moviefan

This is obviously a TC. Those who claim it is a scr have no idea what they are talking about. That said, it is crap for a tc. On my 27" TV the picture is pixilated pretty bad. The colors are good. ar and cropping are all good. this would be excellent quality for a ts but this is one of the worst tc's i have seen. The audio is absolutley horrible. On my surround sound system, there is no bass or mids at all. It is all treble. Alot of it sound like it is playing through a radio from the 30's. Again, this is one of the worst tc's i have seen, and the ppl giving this high marks don't know what they are talking about. yeah it might be cool on your 15" PC monitor though your computer speakers, but it flunks the home theater test bad. nbp has lost alot of points in my book

Video - 6.5 - if this were ts would be 8, but too pixilated for tc
(maybe they should have made it 3 discs)

audio - 1 - this is crap. no bass at all. i have heard better cam audio

movie - 7.5 - I like historical movies like this and i enjoyed it

Still waiting on a good DVD rip.

This is clearly a cam, can't believe how blind previous posters are. The quailty is normal pure cam/TC, flickery and washed out colors.

Its funny how some people think cams "look good" because in general they just wreck the movie.
