Have to say this same, but maybe not as harshly.

Video is very blurry as the res is too low, and blocky, its obvious it doesn't compress too well, as the DVDR isn't a particulary noisy or grainy source.

Audio is out of sync, but is clear and decent apart from that.

Personally, should of been 2CD's as this isn't very pretty at all.

7/7/?

Agree with both comments above.

6/8/?

Is out of sync and blocky, not sure if the 213ms has been tested but I thought it might have been out more then that in some parts.

Just add -213 in ac3filter and see for yourself if you want to test quickly

Also in agreement with the other posters, sync is off just enough that you notice enough for it to be bothersome and its off the entire time. Video quality isn't that great either, overall really not one of ALLiANCE's best releases.

V - 7.5 sort of reminds me of their The Benchwarmers release which also was not the best of releases with blockiness and pixelization

A - sync is off the whole time

M - waiting for a better release, if one doesn't come will have to fix this one and settle

After ripping this movie to XviD myself, ive noticed where the problems have came from.

This movie should never of been 1CD, with AC3 it still barely makes it onto 2CD's, and i couldn't make the resolution anymore than 640x272.

The DVD vobs are where the audio sync problem comes from, the Warner logo, FBI Warning, and the Trailer are all on the same Titleset as the movie.

Once the logos and trailer are blanked out, and the movie vobs ran through DGIndex, the audio track demuxed comes out with a -244ms delay, was that just a good guess XIII?

This probably should be nuked, but considering you could fix the sound yourself with VDub in about 2-3 minutes, and the video wouldn't look any better on the Proper, im not sure its entirely necessary.

Apologies to anyone for the long ranting, but when you have a week off work, you find entirely to much time on your hands at 2am, lol

Mate I'm talking about this release not the one you ripped you cant compare the two,
you know movies can go out of sync during the encode and that figure can be any value

I used Sound Forge to get the sync time so no it wasn't a guess and this release is out by -213ms

Don't worry next time I wont bother to post the info !

You can compare the two, this and my encode where done from the same DVD5 source, and it was the DVD5 source which caused the Sync problems, not a mess up by Alliance, though they should of checked it before releasing it though.

Apologies, i think you took my post totally the wrong way, even though i Re-Wrote it three times to try to make sure you didnt, it wasnt a dig at you in the slightest, i was just curious how you came up with the value, sorry if it sounded like something else.

There's a new version out.

The.Wicker.Man.2006.UNRATED.DVDRip.XviD.AC3-Redemption80

Video looks the same, but audio has been corrected -244ms. Looks better.

Well if you have access to topsites,
no problem, but some people care about
torrents.
