Official Friday After Next Review

In what might be the last of the series that put Ice Cube on the map, his new movie Friday After Next, I think is one of his better movies.

This time, the story takes us back to the old neighborhood, during Christmas where it all began, with Craig (Ice Cube) and Day-day, cousins who have been living with their parents. In a sort of a take out from the second Wayne's World, they are in their own kosher apartment, until a Ghetto Santa breaks in and steals all of their stuff. They are forced to get security jobs to catch the crooks.

Friday After Next features some of the original magic that has made this a highly successful series, and with the holiday season approaching, I am giving this a huge thumbs up.

Some of the funniest moments come in the previews but not so, as I found myself enjoying this movie.

Friday After Next is rated R for language and sexual content.

My Rating: an 7.5 out of 10.

I finally saw the preview for this and it looks like this one will be better than the previous. At least I hope it is. Hey MovieGod whatever happened to the Pandora's Box. And could you do a review of it, if you haven't already.

Having seen both Fridays, to not watch this would be sad.

not at all. the movie is funny as hell and you dont need any knowledge of the earlier movies to enjoy it. but if you do know the other movie there are a few 'inside' jokes you pick up on.

i think this one was way funnier than the second one but not quite as funny as the first. if they could have gotten smokey back for just one scene it would have been better than the first one.

Yes that was true. Thats why he hasn't made a true blue "black" movie in a while.

But word has it that Chris Tucker is trying to team up with Spike Lee in an upcoming drama.
