Looks like its been nuked again

Is it me or is this still wrong AR

I cant see any difference with the first release and this re-rip..is it me,can someone confirm?Heeeelp

Posted by dontgiveafuck on 02-07-2006 09:57 PM:

yep. same shit

in vlc player, you gotta change the AR to 221:100 to view it properly. Actually, even at this AR, the movie is a little narrow.

0 for 2. 3rd time's the charm???

come on dudes. use the same tools as other groups......

Posted by djhaps on 02-08-2006 12:48 AM:

video info in MPEG4modifier for the sample:

Packed bitstream: Yes
QPel: No
GMC: No
Interlaced: No
Aspect ratio: 16:9 PAL pixel shape
Quant type: MPEG Custom

basically they fixed the GMC problem, other 2 problems still there (main problem being the pixel shape).

Posted by JediAlien on 02-08-2006 07:01 AM:

dontgiveafuck: If you open up the avi in MPEG4Modifier you'll notice the pixel aspect ratio is set to: 16:9 PAL pixel shape, it should be set to: square pixels. This is whats causing the aspect ratio problem in vlc player and stand alones.
National.Treasure.2004.DVDRip.XViD-TrV had the same problem and was also nuked but was easily fixed via MPEG4Modifier or the fix released by MiGRiANE.

Posted by kurdt on 02-08-2006 08:45 AM:

NUKED: Domino.RERip.XviD.DVDRIP-AFO

rerip.has.very.bad.ar.in.vlc.and.standalone. players.but looks.normal.in.some.software.players

GMC codec was used in most xvid pre by AFO and that codec is NOT widely supported by some players and standalones. This i believe is the true and most valid reason for this NUKE and all other AFO xvid pre. Kinky Boots and Wolf Creek by AFO both had same problem. In fact, other than Goodnight and Goodluck PROPER i havent been happy with any of AFO pres Please use SCENE STANDARD CODEC AFO!!

Posted by $ls GCC on 02-08-2006 11:00 AM:

your a moron.
do you even know what GMC stands for?
abviously you dont by saying
use scene standard codec.

why are talking?
why did you even post that?

seriously, why?

Posted by betelgeus on 02-08-2006 04:18 PM:

to continue on jediallens post just load the avi into mpg4 modifier, select unpack bitstream and square pixels then save avis takes 2 mins and corrects the problem

Posted by DEMENTA on 02-08-2006 08:01 PM:

Damnit. I guess they just cant get this right.
What im curious about though, is why here it says on the orginial rls' nuke reason to get the rerip if that one is just as messed up. :\

Video - 5

Audio - 9

Movie - 9 (screw everyone, this was a damn good movie)

Yes i do it stand for NUKE. I'm happy to be a MORON if ur the alternative. I could care less what u think. Im just glad they are NOT getting away with the unsupported codec they have used. DONT REPLY. NOOB. I never claim to be an UBER dork like u. NOT my job to do it right is AFOs and guess what NUKERs agree with me.

Moron OUT!!

BTW i think u meant to say OBVISOULy above nice going SUPERSTAR!!

Posted by jak58 on 02-09-2006 04:20 AM:

I haven't downloaded all movie yet, but the already got the sample.
It is in fact packed bitstream but i believe this is not a case for nuke.
However, the pixel format is not square, it's 16:9.
I changed the pixel to square using that little program called MP4MODIFIER, so no need to reencode and everything worked fine.
So i guees I'm going to download all of it and then just change pixel ar.

Best
Jak

gmc is not a codec... its an xvid encoding option

Posted by KrackZaa on 02-09-2006 04:44 PM:

thanks to afo i had to go download the svcd of wolf creek, my standalone could not play the gmc encoding option, and i suggest that afo stop using this in the future.
