xbmc atlantis beta (windows/mac/linux/xbox)

oh yes.
Just tried this today on my laptop and all i can say is wow.
Previous efforts didn't work to well but this is just excellent.
I have been playing mkv files at 1080p with no stuttering whatsoever.

all other players i have tried including
vlc,gom and zoom have all had problems with top quality video but this is playing sweet as a nut.

love it.

just checked this out, I gotta say this is a very nice little app, I like it. I wonder if it has controller support?

Plays 1080i/p no problem for me as well.

I do, specially when the blue ray blanks come down in price, i would like the extras and choose dts or 5.1 etc

this works for the 360 standard and wireless pad

thanks for this, i'm off to check it out.

I'm also going to violently flog myself for neglecting my mk1 xbox and all its modded glory. Since I got the PS3, i've left the poor little urchin rotting under the tv.

Same here... I've even conceded the loss of functionality from the 360 by burning my ISOs rather than streaming them and converting unsupported formats to supported formats.

Have been trying it out, no one answered sim-card, where is the slider bar?

Posted by olskoolfife on 10-07-2008 11:25 AM:

Not a slider bar as far as i can tell.
The only real reason for a slider bar other than a fast forward would surely be just to watch where you got to previously which you can do in the video settings.

tick the box that says auto resume from last position.

hope that helps.

Cheers for that.

Another question.
I want to listen to music and do other things on PC but i can't minimize xbmc.
Is there a way to do that?

You could start XBMC in Windowed mode to begin with, then minimise should be available. (There should be a shortcut pre-made in the XBMC Start menu).

Has anyone found that they have videos that work in WMP/Media Player Classic/VLC on the PC, but get distorted when playing through XBMC?
