From the nfo.. " Why not?"

Well lets see, ur video is dark, pixelated to shit and FS, think I'll stick with the TC. Ohh and the movie was awful.

However, with this many rls in a day it is still great to see you guys continuing to put out stuff.

6/7/3

Not too bad for scr, not the best. The TC was nuked..it wasnt a TC it was just the MAVEN TS re-encoded..lame.

6.5/8/-

Well this one is a bit of a mess. Mpeg1 video always looks crappy and pixelated and this one is no exception. If you have the Maven TS you have a far better version. This one really is a wasted time.

And who is the genius who decides that VHS rips HAVE to be mpeg1? SVCD versions would look MUCH BETTER. I don't give a shit that the source is lower rez than SVCD specs. Mpeg2 is soooo much cleaner.

video: 6
audio: 8
movie: crappy but the kids like it

(As a precursor note to the mods, If you feel this needs to be moved to a different thread, maybe the SpongeBob.SquarePants.SVCD.TELESYNC-maVen thread as their nfo started all this controversy, or if you feel it should be deleted, I will respect your decision.)

Anyways, earlier today I was looking at the Shark.Tale.SVCD.TELESYNC-VideoCD thread from a while back and some comments in there of the "person walking in front of the screen" made it quite easy for me to show you guys the fact that the nuke, as well as maVen's statements in their nfo were just plain false. So I did some screen caps of the TUN/VideoCD rls at the same scene in which the person walks in front of screen. I think the results speak for themselves. You guys can also looks at the sound track and see the clear differences there.

It is so obviously not the same source! lets end it there...please!

Wasted time rls 6/8/6
I still think the TUN TC is the best!

there was no TUN's TC, at least in my opinion

this screener is pure shit, one of the worst i've ever seen

6/6, thanks Wastedtime, but i stick with VideoCD's TS
BTW : i didn't even notice this guy walking in the front of screen...

typical vcd screener, lots of pixelization due to the VCD format. i was really excited when THCiSO started doing SVCD screeners a while back.... i wish other groups would've caught on.

8/9/5 (compared to other vcd screeners) - the TUN telecine is much better quality

actually, the TUN telecine was a "stolen" rip from the Telecine-DVDR that 'meteor' released... NOT a reencode of the telesync that VideoCD released (see lordlusty's jpg here: http://img71.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img7...d-sharksbig.jpg)

couldn't agree more and this screener is far to grainy...No where near as good as the others they put out recently..hang on to your Shark Tale SVCD TS-VIDEOCD NOT maVen..There is NO maVen or do i have to mention that in every post..We all know about the stupin TUN nuke...My suggestion wait for a DVDRIP

5/7/7

Posted by CCkid on 12-02-2004 06:40 PM:

blahhhhhhhhhh..there is no comparison in this SCR to some out lately. It is way to blocky (pixelated), keep the maven re-encode until a DVD comes out.

5/7/6

Posted by keam on 12-02-2004 07:27 PM:

Smile

good job guys...you been working hard....that i see ..6 SCREENERS but 5 out of 6 aint bad..

all within a day or so ................ this is ok ,but not one of your good ones ..but keep it up

Posted by BLUE-NEO on 12-02-2004 08:25 PM:

Ok I downloaded the TC..and If that was a maven re-encode then Maven cut out alot of sh.t to get it to svcd...because its complete from the beginning all the way down to the end credits....now last I checked that was a telecine....

and I'll stick with it...because nobody walked through it...and it looked pretty damn good to be a re-encode which I'm sure it wasn't...

screener

6/8/8 movie was good for the most part. my son liked it.

Nah thats not what I'm implying at all. If you look at the past rls cycle, METEOR always picks up the DVDR's of TUN'S SVCD TC. METEOR also lists TUN in their greets at bottom, so I think its safe to assume they share the same source and rls in different formats (not too uncommon actually). My point was simply that the TC TUN/METEOR/MoF rlsed was not sourced from the maVen/VideoCD TS.

whoops... my bad, i just reread what you wrote and you're totally right... pardon my temporary retardation

i watched this last night, the rip is awful. the sample looked decent, but man this is a seriously nasty pixelated mess. must be several generations down the copy line.

new score: 5/9/5
