-- Creep - SCREENER - ToF (http://forum.vcdq.com/showthread.php?threadid=59722)

Nice early SCREENER from ToF. good job on getting hold of this excellent example of good horror!!

From viewing sample and first 10 .rar's

Video - has good colors, a vast majority of this film is dark as it takes place within the sewers of London, but it is all viewable. Is fairly pixellated but nothing extreme for a VHS rip.
In terms of watermarks there is a small square mark in the very top right hand corner - it looks like the dial of an old telephone - not off putting at all, is far out the way. Also the bottom of the rip seems to have a greyish band going across it, it is right at the very bottom, but does tend to flicker a bit.

Sound - is good, maybe a touch hollow. But no real complaints.

Movie - this is an excellent horror film, TRULY SCARY!! i reccomend the watch to all, even those faint of heart!!

7.5/8/10

After watching the first and last rar's on cd2 This film will not stop glitching up, i dont know whats going on maybe im running to many apps right now, i will follow up on this, but if the glitching goes away, then it will be pretty nice, almost unnoticeable watermark on the top right, and there appears to be some kind of line across the very bottom of the screen.
Hopefully someone else can give me a response on if they are getting the same problems

OKAY!
So after actually turning off half the processes that were running on my computer, this vid ran glitch free
i am happy to say i will finish watching it tonight, as it looks like a good horror flick,
A very good release after all
8/9/?

from sample: video is quite nice for a screener. small watermark/logo in the top right, and a flickering bit at a bottom. apart from that the video i crisp and colourful. sound is fine, standard screener type sound.

I watched the original CAM. Was a nice release and I enjoyed the movie. After watching this release, the movie is more enjoyable. The colors are so perfect and the crisp. This is a good copy and worth keeping on a DVD. The sound has some fuzz for me, as if my speakers are distorted. I tried 2 different players to make sure and than other releases. It's this release, so the sound isn't as clear one would expect from a screener. Compared to the cam, it's the best in this regard. Overall, nice release on a decent movie. Thanks

I was NOT as impressed as most were with the Video. Definitely looked second generation VHS to me and typical scrolling msgs throughout. Color scheme was a bit dull. Sound was good and a fine Horror Film indeed. I was just hoping for better. OH well, PROPS to ToF on the release anyhow!!

7/8/8

FYI: For all those burning to VCD i found that the source was NOT true mpeg 1 and i had to re encode to burn it. Invalid source code for SVCD and 48khz audio. However, once burned it was perfectly watchable. ENJOY!!

The video does seem to change in quality throughout the movie, I've just skimmed through it, but overall the quality is not bad for VHS screener. Might have to agree with bcool2k that this is a 2nd gen though.

good release! nice one tof!

its a little blurry and has an mpeg encoders watermark or summot top right, hardly noticable.

Theres a line at the bottom of the screen that does distract so may need cutting off in tmpenc.

sound is spot on

movie rocks
