Not according to the site rules he can't. If you don't believe me check it yourself on the voting page. Anyway only twats give a movie all 10s or all 1s.

On the main VCDQ web page, you can see the different scores against each release. As long as you are logged in, you can click on those scores to submit your own votes. The scores posted in the forum are not linked in any way to the scores on the main page. It's an old system and will be revamped eventually so that there aren't two methods to post ratings.

this has great video and sound, but as for the film, why do the Nazis have perfect upper class English accents? and hey so do the Jews! How you could take this film seriously with such a ridiculous aspect is beyond me, So do the British Army all speak in French?

If the movie is set in Germany, why do they have English accents?

Because it's a British-made film with British actors (albeit filmed in Hungary). Had it been made in Hollywood it would have had American actors speaking English with American accents or fake German accents. To have the movie take place in German, the British film-makers would have had to either: 1) hire and be able to communicate with German actors, 2) teach German to the English actors, 3) have the actors use fake German accents, or 4) subtitle the movie in English. (1) and (2) would have been expensive, (3) would have been comical, if not offensive, to the audience, and (4) would drive off a large portion of the viewers who don't like reading subtitles.

I was also wondering why if this movie was supposed to be about Nazi's was everyone speaking perfect English but then I decided it was easier for me to understand since I speak English anyway. After struggling with that (for about a min.) I decided I would judge the movie on the content instead. I liked it, but others may not. Who am I to judge.

I would also like to comment on the rule of not rating the movie all 10's. I believe that the rule was intended to for those of us that actually rate the movie using the rating system. I don't believe (I may be wrong) that the rule was intended to apply to the comments section.

:STAFF EDIT: ..correct however the OP also voted all 10s using the voting page. My view is that the rule needs a common sense approach and if somebody is always voting 10s or 1s then they'll be banned. This person did nothing wrong by voting accordingly. -V

Excellent all round. A very thought provoking film - the 'baddy' is taken from a context of any normal family whose father is 'normal' Well worth watching -
