What is The Best 80's Teenage Slasher Movie?
Out of all the slasher films that were released in the 1980's what film do you think stands out as the best of them?
I was hoping to exclude the Friday the 13ths and Nightmare on Elm Streets but I realize that some may want to vote for them so go ahead..however try and think of others instead
I am going with Sleepaway Camp (1983)

Just the name of that movie makes me want to puke. you suck :P
I didn't ever really watch 80's slasher movies so sadly, I'd have to say Sleepaway Camp may be the only one I ever saw.
Carson
ghostbusters.

Happy birthday to Me 1981

theres a review about it.
I didn't see the movie untill 85 or 86, my mom bought it at a flee
market on vhs and it scared the crap outa me. Even more then
Poltergiest.
Those where the two coolest movies to have on vhs. to bad my mom decided to trade them in for Annie and Grease.
The soundtrack from those last two movies are more scary then all the 80s horror flicks combined.

I'm going with Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, and since that's not really an 80s slasher, i'll say Slumber Party Massacre as a backup
attack of the killer tomatoes.........does that count?
LMFAO!

I'd say Stagefright/Aquarius is my favourite 80's slasher, although it's not exactly a "teenage-slasher". Come to think of it, that's probably the reason why it didn't suck
Apart from the decent acting, i can't think of another slasher flick from the 80's which had this kind of strong atmosphere and stunning visuals. Michele Soavi rocks!
i wanted to say halloween but it came out in 78, oh well i'll go with halloween 2 that came out 1981.
I thought of one. . . . . Fright Night quality! LOL
house
evildead
evil dead 2
the dark
return of the living dead I,II,III
zombie dawn of the dead
zombie flesh eaters
etc etc etc

I think the WORST would be "drive-in massacre". The effects were absolutely awful and there was no plot.
But worth a watch just for those reasons
