Box Office Numbers Weekend of May 23-26

4 Day actuals people....big numbers..big movies..big..er..bags of popcorn

1) Bruce Almighty $85,734,045 / $85,734,045
2) The Matrix Reloaded $45,612,152 / $209,481,877
3) Daddy Day Care $18,113,333 / $73,254,194

Now we look at this weeks LOSERS..the biggest drop off of the week....(Yes Matrix Reloaded dropped -50.3% but hey..the friggin thing made $45 mil so its excused)

18) Malibu's Most Wanted $324,179 down a whopping -63.6% (Yes yes I know it'll make its money back but hey..any chance to rip this movie is good enough reason for me)

The OUCH of the week
34) Confidence $121,664 down -61.9% but dropped 18 places since last week

The "Oh MY GOD Why Did We Make This Movie" of the week
43) It Runs in the Family $62,954 down -67.4% and dropping 21 places this week..bringing its grand total to.....*cough*$7,375,836 *cough*

And finally our Bulletproof Smuck watch

44) Bulletproof Monk $60,268 only down -33.5% too bring its total to $23,020,488 (wow at this pace it MIGHT cover its advertising costs) BOMBS AWAY!

Er...Matrix II made 45 over the 4-day weekend. Technically it's a bigger drop. I liked the way you did the numbers this week, with the humor.
While your at it, tell me if you want to continue doing the Predict the box office. Next week should be fun, we have the wrong turn and the italian job (one's a kickass movie [or it should be] and the other is a call to Hollywood for help).
