If you've got PAL this is undoubtedly the version to have. It contains both DTS and Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtracks although I wasa only interested in the former. The transfer is superficially perfect though I'm told a glitch at the 54 min mark causes foreign subs and DVD Shrink to freeze. English subs work fine as I played them all the way through. And subtitles were needed. The cast mumble a lot while the special effects are ludicrously loud. I mean, does the earth actually tremor every time a ship's container is unloaded at the docks?

The movie disapointed a lot of people. There is absolutely zero chemistry between the actors. "Hide & Seek" is a far better movie in that respect. I got the feeling in places that Spielberg was trying to recreate "Taken". On the plus side this is about as near as they could get to the original story without going back 100 years.

There are no extras but then what do you expect for free? Well done Bavaria.
