why would any of those need a remake? especially titanic! it cost enough to make the original only a few years ago... why both spending even more money just to bring out another version of it ? makes no sense!

and what would nightmare be without the real freddy? and why remake genius like godfather?

im a big advocate of people seeing the originals. very very few remakes are worth bothering with , and most of those aren't as good as the originals. studios should save their money and put it into original screenwriting, NOT rehashing old movies because people are too stupid to watch something older than 10 years or something. their problem, fuck em.

I think they should remake Tango and Cash..now theres a movie I cant get enough of

no seriously..I think the only movies I would like to see remade cause it would benefit from the effects revolution would be The Last Starfighter or Battle Beyond the Stars..maybe even Legend

Oh shit I think South Park did an awesome episode when they made fun of George Lucas and Steven Spielberg and there remakes. If they ever remake Raiders of the Lost Arc or try to improve them by adding retarded, unrealistic special affects I shall personally kill them.

But off that list I would have to say Titanic just because the first was SHITE!

i don't think there is any reason for any of those movies to be remade. i'm with pho being an original advocate and in the fact that most remakes generally suck. the only remake i can think of, off the top of my head that was worth it, and was good was Red Dragon, i think it was worth it to see Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lector again and with edward norton i just liked the movie in general.

They should remake "Wild, Wild West" because the one with Wil Smith was horrible.

This time get the right actors. Mel Gibson as Jim West and Gary Sinise as Artemus Gordon.

I'd like to see a Last Starfighter sequel, not a remake.

if your going that rout then i choose demolition man...movie cracks me up

but seriously...i'm very anti remake unless the first was utter shite...figure if it's in the afi top 100 movies...it's best not to even entertain the thought of a remake

an exorcist remake would be really cool

maybe a BTTF but not remake, like part 4.... (same director/writer of course)

I really liked the remake of The Thomas Crown Affair with Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo. The original was great too, but I think they did a fine job bringing it to new life. Rene somehow seemed more believable in her investigatory role than that blonde chick from the 60s.

Fair enough..I would've liked to see then touched up is what I was saying..not a complete remake..that'd be silly..maybe what Lucas did with Star Wars

Saw the Last Starfighter in a Drive-In theatre. One of my favorite movies, why not make a sequel to it??

Where's the button for "Fuck remakes"?

Most remakes are absolute crap, look at Psycho hehe.
There are a few good ones kickin around, but filmmakers should come up with their own stuff, not rip off or try to improve on someone elses art.
Look at that Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake being made, like come on, is that really necessary? The original was violent and scary enough is it is, like Jessica Alba and some hotshot Dawson's Creek director wannabe can make it better.

Hollywood will never be able to get its head out of its ass.

Remakes are 99.9% of the time complete tosh

I couldnt pick any of the movies you listed, as I share the same thoughts as some here (in that you shouldnt remake half of them )

But if they where going to re-make anything the only thing that directly spings to mind is Hannibal, and they should try ACTUALLY FOLLOWING THE FUCKING BOOK.

I dont know whats the scarier, Hannibal Lecter or the fucker that totally raped the book.

Posted by Senic on 05-07-2003 02:07 PM:

I would make one to Black Hawk Down

Posted by J Sadistik on 05-08-2003 01:26 PM:

most those movies have already been remade
