Jesus how awful could this get? This looks like the type of shit F.A.C.T would use in a PR to show how bad pirated films are . Also the sample is fucked to hell and I couldn't open the few rars I grabbed with VLC.. maybe something fucked with the rls too?. The video has a 30 degree angle with some theatre seats in front of the cam covering up half the visible screen. (for whoever the fuck cammed this rls... raise your tripod up or cam between the fucking seats.. it's really not that complicated is it?) Crop is like using a spy glass on the screen from first row.. wtf were you guys thinking rlsing this trash? Sometimes silvers are better left to pass on.

/sigh

Not the best cam by far, but it does look alot better then some ive seen in the past, and it looks alot better on the tv also. Colors are on point. My guess is that this was not the best source.

6/7/?

PS: lorddusty, you should really not bash grps like that, especially when u dont know what ur talking about, the tilt on the cam in the begininng is like 8 minutes long, and the rest of the movie is fine after cammer straighten it up. so wouldnt the right thing to to if rotate the source to where the majority is angled right. And as far as a grp releasing this "trash", some people like these and dont have access to them by other means. If u dont like it dont DL it.

they appologised in the nfo for the lack in quality

i took their word for it and didnt grab this one

Posted by Bullet on 04-17-2005 01:29 PM:

in these bad rls times i am happy to see that at least some group releases stuff. Lately so little rlses been put out. So i dont like lorddusty's comment.
But yes this rls isnt the best quality. Only watchable if you really wanna see this flic.

Hi everyone,

First off lorddusty is absolutely right this is unbelievable.

1. Audio is 48Hz, and should be Nuked just for that alone.

2. There is a terrible flicker through out the whole film, as if someone has a strobe light on.

3. The dark scenes are as bad as Odeon's Valiant, another words black. And there are alot of dark scenes.

4. There is so much block noise that it looks as though you are watching this off of your mosaic tiled bathroom wall.

vid- 2
audio- 4
mov- unknown, couldn't watch it, ( and for me to say that, then it's bad)

Finally,

Bullet, excactly what "bad rls times" are you reffering to?

There have been Proper TS's, or VHS screeners or TC's and DVDscreeners released so far for ever main stream film out there while it was still at the theater. And you call this bad times?

I think many had been spoiled with the DTS audio, ( and don't really know what TS's use to be), and the number of TC's and DVDscreeners that have popped up more frequently of late, due to the time of year it was.

I just thank God that the major groups are safe still, and functioning.

Posted by Veg_RV on 04-17-2005 04:20 PM:

I'm just glad we got new groups like "Digicon" who put out releases for us and are honest in their NFO's. Not only have they been releasing some TS and Cam's it looks like, they are also releasing some nice DVDr.

Quality on this isn't the best, but the source wasn't the best either from what I can tell

5/6/8

Posted by Rubberbandman on 04-17-2005 04:33 PM:

not too bad, the angle gets better after a few minutes. Quit bitching about releases and just vote. Props to DiGiCON for the fast release. If you want it bad enought get it if not then don't.

Uhh no.... it took a just over a month for a decent watchable copy of Be Cool, and there are still only shit versions of Guess Who, Miss Congeniality 2 (both out almost a month now, actually 4 days away from being a month) Fever Pitch was watchable for a cam however it's been almost 2 weeks (12 days) since it started and that's the only version out.

6 months ago there would have been 3 or 4 different releases of a mainstream film to choose from... and within a week there was a good TS... sure Saiosin seems to be the TS group at the moment... but it seems they are only doing the releases every other week.... so yes these are considered bad release times, at least based on how the scene has been for the past couple of years.

Personally as long as there is a decent watchable copy out there i'm happy until retail, cause I know i'm gonna check it out and if it's any good, me, the wife and maybe the kiddies will go hit the theater to see it, if it sucks or is mediocre then i'll wait until the $1 show gets it or just not go at all. Hollywood only gets my $$$ if they put out a quality product.

Hi everyone,

lickmyzack, hi,

Aparently you didn't read my whole reply, I had said;

"so far for every main stream film out there while it was still at the theater "

The ones you named off are but 4 out of 43 main stream movies released in the past 7 weeks, and 3 of those that you mentioned are still in the theaters and have DVDscreeners out already, as do the other 38, or at least top TS's.

This is Fever's second or third week. You have to remember that 6 months ago was the begining of the Academy reviews so sure there would be nice sources avaiable. Hence my statement of; " due to the time of year it was".

You mention Be Cool which has been out for 7 weeks now but is number 18 in the box office and showing at only 564 theaters...564 theaters out of how many? Yet we have a DVDscreener of that too. Fever is in it's second week and Guess who is in it's 4th. I think 2 out of 43 movies that don't have watchable releases out yet doean't justify a "bad rls time". also all those choices you had bk 6 months ago were all silvers with 3/4 of them nuked...you had to wear a radiation suit when visiting VCDQ, lmao.

Bad rls times are when there is no groups at all releasing anything. Like the time in which Pot was created and Van Helsing was released, which was a cam, a month and a half after it hit the theaters. Which brings me to my last statement that I'm glad the main groups are just safe and still functioning.

edit> I'm still trying to figure out how come this hasn't been NUKED for non-standard audio

The audio for this rls is 48Hz. DVD standard is 48Hz. While proper vcd is 44Hz, 48Hz will certianly do the job. Maybe you should check The.Amityville.Horror.TS.SVCD-SAOSiN, because its also 48Hz. Maybe not grounds for nuking.

Posted by gfavored on 04-18-2005 05:14 PM:

Hi everyone,

woldise, hi,

Thats just pure basics, that 44Hz is s/vcd standard and not 48Hz.
also;
AUDIO: ¦
¦ - Minimum 224kbit @ 44.1khz (regardless of source) ¦
¦ - Secondary tracks shall be 224 or LESS

Not sure where you got your The.Amityville.Horror.TS.SVCD-SAOSiN, because mine is 44Hz.

Posted by dvd_breeder on 04-23-2005 06:56 PM:

The "In da Club" rls of this movie, complete with the strobe effect was not pleasing; to say the least, but was def better than Cobra's attempt. However, the fact that they encoded their audio differently on CD1 than they did on CD2, causing problems with some people receiving audio, made this rls impossible to watch on my end; forcing me to watch Cobra's rls for the first 40 minutes.

5/1/6

next time try using a more compatible audio format. . .
