Wow ... what an un needed release.

For starters , who the hell crops VHS screeners ? !!! This copy has bars on the top & bottom. Big counter top right , interlaced , bleeding colors , and really blurry. Sound is really good.

Only thing going for this release is 2CD and Nice audio. If you got that TC released weeks ago , avoid this copy as its way worse (quality wise).

5/8/8

Because the grp are credit whoring lamers who will do anything to hang onto/get better/bigger/ faster pre sites and see their name up in lights.

There is no fucking need whatsoever for gay nth gen vhs screeners UNLESS there is not a good vers released to date.

As I said, a stupid bandwidth wasting pile of shit born out of the sheer greed of a no name grp who like so many these days will fucking release any old shite just to whore creds.

that about sums it up.

I have to disagree with a few things said about this rls.

1. its not a "waste" because they are still contributing to "the scene" or atleast whats left of it these days. *HOWEVER, they could have atleast made this INTERNAL. Imo, atleast they put out what they had acsess to/obtained. Thanks for that guys.

2. "credit whores" perhaps, but then again, wouldent you want to release something if your supplier tried hard to get his/her hands on it? Again, i would still say because of the better version it should have been internal, but none the less, atleast put out what you get ahold of.

3. "For starters , who the hell crops VHS screeners ...interlaced ...really blurry. Sound is really good.
The sample didnt appear to be interlaced for me, but if it was that should justify this being nuked. Atleast if a group is gonna pull of an old flick, make it properly encoded.

As based on the sample imo:

piece of crap. unneeded rls. already got xvid asteroids version. has obvious timer and is crapped bad.

Actually i couldnt agree more when i think about that statement. Not to many groups out there anymore with "Real" Sources , so contribuiting wise , i appreciate it.

Also agree with it should have been labled iNTERNAL.

Good points T-H-E-W-H-O.

As a screener, 5/8/8.

Yeah, I appreciate the effort, but unless this was gonna be better than the asteroids release (which IMO it isn't), I'd rather they spend the time sharing a movie that hasn't seen a good release yet.

Fun movie, BTW, definitely underrated.

Posted by darksoad on 09-20-2005 02:35 AM:

If you see the quality of the TC you'll only want a DVDScr or DVDRip, I don't know why they do copies worse than TCs...

My thoughts exactly, I never rant or rave but must say this was totally not needed.
I normally don't rant or rave but in my humble opinion there was no need for this release.
But thanks for your valid attempt and work.

Posted by crapper on 09-20-2005 04:49 PM:

thnxx and keep em coming

Posted by Methadon on 09-21-2005 08:16 PM:

What the hell? Didn't Asteroids encode a nice xvid for us over a month ago? Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the work that was done on the source; but why would PreVail wait this long after a dvd-quality xvid was available? If there's an *actual* reason.... think about it: whoever in this group got this version by some means, which possibly was a dvd-r that someone else did work on previously. Either way, this member of PreVail made this particular version available to everyone who reads these forums *cough*dontknowwhere*cough*, when he/she *could* have just kept this 6/6 "I've seen better screeners" screener internal, as we've already got a perfect 9/9 TC already. Thanx for the work, but would've appreciated just not seeing this so extremely late.

Posted by skewsy on 09-29-2005 01:19 AM:

THE TC WAS ONE OF THE BEST IVE SEEN AND IT JUST SHOWS THIS RELEASE UP BY FAR
