C'mon BNP ffs

The British National Party has pulled off a bit of a blinder by fronting an anti-immigration campaign with a poster featuring a Spitfire belonging to 303 Squadron of the RAF - the "most effective Polish squadron during the Second World War"

Be fair Arfur, to put together an advertising campaign of any nature is quite an achievement! Last time they courted publicity the knuckle scrapers had to hire 2 Afghan illegals to help them spell 'BNP' properly.

A teacher in Coventry was banned from the public library after being reported for looking at a BNP web page. Imagine the reaction of the library if he'd been caught browsing this website

That doesn't seem credible. Looking at the site of a political party that has the right of representation in local/government = banned?
Would be very interested in seeing a source.

You must not intentionally access or transmit material that is illegal. This includes pornographic, defamatory and materials inciting racial hatred, websites depicting or inciting terrorist or criminal acts. You should be aware of your responsibilities under the Obscene Publications Act (1959 & 1964), the Telecommunications Act (1984), The Race Relations Act (1976 & 2000). You must not access or transmit material that may be deemed to offend

I'm no spearchucker but ... A teachers' union is considering how to defend itself from infiltration by members of "racist and fascist" organisations.
Delegates at the NASUWT teachers' conference voted to explore a rule change to allow it to exclude members of organisations such as the British National Party.
And it is to campaign for a law change to defend the rights of trade unions to deny membership to such people.
No evidence was presented that the NASUWT had been targeted, but teachers said other unions had been.

As for Teachers, well after a little look I found this story
LINKY . The school handily denies the reasons for his suspension but doesn't offer any alternative reason.

“Even my leafleting teams were comprised of former pupils of mine who I had helped as long as ten years ago,” a grateful Mr Walker said, adding that parents who remembered him for helping their children had also turned out in support.

It is VERY credible. Police Officers are already banned from being members of the BNP, who's decision is that if not the local governments.

It was an internal move by the heads of the police force. I believe it followed the BBC investigation (panorama?) that showed the treatment dished out internally to officers of ethnic background and additionally the treatment of ethnic civilians at the hands of far right policemen.
Personally I wonder about the mental state of people who come to the conclusion that extreme right or left wing ideology is reasonable. To me BNP are just a bunch of nutters as are the socialist worker party. The problems start when normal people start to take them seriously.
Arfs tie fighters... mint.
