C'mon BNP ffs

The British National Party has pulled off a bit of a blinder by fronting an anti-immigration campaign with a poster featuring a Spitfire belonging to 303 Squadron of the RAF - the "most effective Polish squadron during the Second World War"

Be fair Arfur, to put together an advertising campaign of any nature is quite an achievement! Last time they courted publicity the knuckle scrapers had to hire 2 Afghan illegals to help them spell 'BNP' properly.

Some bigots just don't have the same attention to detail as other bigots and racists... Then again, I reckon some of our dumber members would've put fucking Tie Fighters on the poster

P.S. I fuckin' love Nick Griffin!

I suppose you got to be there...

BnP suck balls but when I read Arthurs original post I actually thought it was a message of support until i got to the end.

A teacher in Coventry was banned from the public library after being reported for looking at a BNP web page. Imagine the reaction of the library if he'd been caught browsing this website

Link?

That doesn't seem credible. Looking at the site of a political party that has the right of representation in local/government = banned?

Would be very interested in seeing a source.

I'm unable to find the original story which was published on the website of the Coventry Telegraph, however this is an extract from the librarary's acceptable use policy which pretty much covers it:
quote:
You must not intentionally access or transmit material that is illegal. This includes pornographic, defamatory and materials inciting racial hatred, websites depicting or inciting terrorist or criminal acts. You should be aware of your responsibilities under the Obscene Publications Act (1959 & 1964), the Telecommunications Act (1984), The Race Relations Act (1976 & 2000). You must not access or transmit material that may be deemed to offend
http://www.coventry.gov.uk/ccm/navi...-computers/#a10
Basically, if anyone sitting within sight of your monitor is offended by what you are looking at, you can be banned.

I wasn't making a political statement, it was just a gag about the kind of stuff that gets posted here.

It is VERY credible. Police Officers are already banned from being members of the BNP, who's decision is that if not the local governments.

As for Teachers, well after a little look I found this story
LINKY . The school handily denies the reasons for his suspension but doesn't offer any alternative reason. This quote comes from another BBC story

quote:
I'm no spearchucker but ... A teachers' union is considering how to defend itself from infiltration by members of "racist and fascist" organisations.

Delegates at the NASUWT teachers' conference voted to explore a rule change to allow it to exclude members of organisations such as the British National Party.

And it is to campaign for a law change to defend the rights of trade unions to deny membership to such people.

No evidence was presented that the NASUWT had been targeted, but teachers said other unions had been.

I'm sure there are more stories out there but don't expect the BBC to bring them to light in an unbiased fashion. For example, the headline on the above story was "TEACHERS ACT AGAINST RACISTS'", when it really should have been 'Teachers Union attempts to impose political views I'd say it was a left wing socialist AND Liberal conspiracy, but they aren't even trying to hide it, they are blatantly and clearly suppressing and marginalizing right wing views and they do it under the banner of anti racism.

I am not a BNP supporter but I think banning membership of a political party is a hideous imposition by hypocritical liberal party members who advocate freedom of speech for only those who's opinions they agree with.

Of course the school didn't offer any other reason: could your employer comment upon your disciplinary action to the press without you having grounds to sue?

Perhaps he was suspended for using school computers to assist in BNP campaigns? Or perhaps for actively campaigning for the BNP inside classrooms...seeing as he stood as a candidate for them and obviously had in 'some way' made his pupils aware of his political activities and beliefs (though he obviously would never have discussed them with the young impressionable minds he was responsible for shaping... )

quote:
“Even my leafleting teams were comprised of former pupils of mine who I had helped as long as ten years ago,” a grateful Mr Walker said, adding that parents who remembered him for helping their children had also turned out in support.

It was an internal move by the heads of the police force. I believe it followed the BBC investigation (panorama?) that showed the treatment dished out internally to officers of ethnic background and additionally the treatment of ethnic civilians at the hands of far right policemen.

Kind of like banning Gays to prevent Paedophiles joining up. Its a political move to suppress a legitimate, albeit retarded, right wing party. Annoying because I hate ultra leftists, probably more than I hate far right wingers and I don't see Arthur Scargill or Red Ken getting the same treatment. It's double standards and I won't stand for this hypocrisy, i'm gonna.... i'm gonna...i'm gonna rant about it on a forum for movie scene releases, that'll show em.

Personally I wonder about the mental state of people who come to the conclusion that extreme right or left wing ideology is reasonable. To me BNP are just a bunch of nutters as are the socialist worker party. The problems start when normal people start to take them seriously.

Arfs tie fighters... mint.
