Dont think the sample did this release any justice. It is exactly what the nfo says.

Dont think it should be nuked for AR. Quality isnt like maVen or anything but its the best release out there. Dont see any sync problems.

I give it a 7 / 9 / 8 based on CD1 and not just the sample.

This is their second TS release so I have to give it to them. Nice try

I'm on the fence about this one. I have the POT Cam but i'm waiting for a true PROPER of this movie to come out. Should i just watch the CAM. Just curious. And No i havent' downloaded it yet. I have to make more space on the hd.HEHE if I wanna bother.HEHE.any real help from those that watched the full release would be greatly appreciated, thanx

new groups are always welcome to the scene and should be praised for their efforts and not slagged off for poor quality. lets give the guys a chance to find their bearings and god knows....you never know what will come out of them.the film isn't all that good quality. slight angle to the right and a tad over bright. sound is ok though. good try though.better luck next time boys

I'm impressed with the "PLEASE DON"T JUDGE BY THE SAMPLE" bit in the info... If the sample isn't an accurate reflection of the movie quality, why fucking include one? Still, it's good to see other groups coming into the scene.

I could rate this movie, but as we've already established that the sample is wank - I won't bother.

If the sample is shit, why dont they pick a better one, surely theres a good bit in the movie they could find.

I've looked at random rars and none of them look or sound particularly great, and im not going to waste my time D/L 1.5gig to find out what i already know.

i Finally gave up and just finished watching the POT CAM..Its definitely better looking than the sample and the sound was great, thanx for NOT posting a review ppl.LOL. I don't need it anymore. I enjoyed the movie more than i thought. A little predictable but does the job well!!

AS for this Release:

Nuked: Bad.Ar.and.Invalid.Sample.Invalid.PROPER

However, U Never know i welcome anyone to the SVCD TS scene. If maVen quit today. We all know we'd be screwed unless VideoCD gets back into it. So props EwDP for the Release and Better luck next time!!!

Gotta agree with the "Dont rate the sample", why the hell put that sample out there then? Pick another one for ppl to judge by.

well well well all i can say is not bad better than i could do with my cam but thats it has any one considered that this is a total loss posting on a site that is trying to bring down the scene vcd quality is well know to most if not all agencys lets free ourselfs once again and go underground mail me at [email protected] if u would like to know more

I to have seen it said too many times by jerkoffs that a release is lame and the group is shit because the quality is not up to par. These people do a risky thing, taking a camera into a theater, for our benifit. If you dont like the quality of a release give it low marks but dont tell them to stay away from the scene and make the group out to be worthless. I heared it said before, but probobly all of you saying that crap havent released the first damn thing. Even if it didnt turn out to good at least that had the balls to go out there and try to contribute something. Anyhow, try to say something positive to them like "I love you people". Ok that was joke.

I don't understand why this is nuked for having a bad AR. Shouldnt all TS's and Cams be nuked for this same reason. For the most part they are zoomed in a little, thus losing the original AR,so I dont understand the reason for this.

I don't understand it either, imho the whole scene is spoilt as hell, a little out of sync, or allegedly bad ratio and the whole release is nuked.

@those who nuke releases: do you have any idea what pain in the ass it is to get a nuked release? hardly any bots out there and incomplete channels refuse to serve files from such releases.

There is NO good release of Wimbledon out there till now! This one is the best, despite bad ratio, which btw is not true, cause I watched this release on TV and I haven't noticed any probs with it.

So is this the scene policy now? Compare all the releases, select the best one and nuke it? Really, this is not right!

Anyway, about this release:

video - 6. It's bad quality, admitted, but one can see everything all right. One complaint, though: what's the sense in encoding it in mpeg2 if it's shitty quality anyway? mpeg2 has a higher load on cpu during software decoding plus files are bigger in size (means longer download times), but there is obviously no quality improvement compared to mpeg1 (vcd).

audio - 7. Audio is somewhat hollow, so difficult to understand at times, but volume level was perfect, it's obvious that it was increased by the group. The consequence is obviously a degradation of audio quality, but I prefer it this way than audio that has good quality yet low audio volume, in which case you can't hear shit.

movie itself - 7. Err, I am ashamed to admit it, but despite the fact that it's a chick movie, I still kind of liked it. I think it's due to Kirsten Dunst - she's gorgeous and charming as always.

From the intellectual point of view this movie is boring and senseless, it's message being - "One phuck a day takes your sorrows away". Basically, if you screw a girl once a day, you can manage everything, even win Wimbledon. lol.

The whole tennis thing is just mere background, if you are interested in tennis, don't watch this movie, there's nothing in it for you. Just as well the director could have taken the whole tennis theme out of the movie and the movie would still work.

It's just a romance, nothing more. It doesn't work on the metaphorical level either. Remember the baseball movie with Susan Sarandon and Kevin Kostner? Now that movie was different, while the baseball was a mere background there either, it did work on the metaphorical level in the sense that the whole baseball game, its rules, its philosophy were a metaphor for real life.

You won't find anything like this in Wimbledon, not only because the director hasn't got enough intellectual capacity to establish a connection between tennis and real life on the metaphorical level, but also because there is simply nothing there to connect, as I said before, this movie is about nothing, it contains no message.

So who is this movie for? It's not for intellectuals. It's not for those interested in tennis.

It's for people who like insipid family entertainment and for Kirsten Dunst fans. That's it. If you are not part of this group, don't watch! You'll be bored

Okay, this release just stinks. The movie is *so* washed out, and the angle it was filmed at was killing me. It felt like I was watching a widescreen movie in full screen aspect. lol The sound seemed okay, I guess that is the one shining spot of it all. Don't bother with this, spend the $$ and see it at the theatre I guess.
