Just got the sample of this release. The quality is amazing for a cam.

Video: 8 (Great quality for a cam, Doesn't appear to be washed out colours but I could be mistaken)

Audio: 6 (Nothing more than what you would expect for a cam, Get some line audio and this release would be great)

Movie: ? (Don't really plan on watching it)

NFO made me chuckle a bit. Also it isn't Maven, its mVs.

at the same time, though, this isnt half bad and certainly alot better then the previous releases


I guess it should suprise me that mVs browses these forums...considering they take their releases from other public forums

Well i've just flicked through it and i'm pretty surprised that no one has mentioned the interlace problems with this release. Its even very noticable in in the sample. Mvs have done a very poor job with this encode. The video overall is pretty dark in parts and has a tilt. the audio is, however, not bad for a cam. plenty of bass and clear but has sync issues. It is way out of sync, by about 1 sec, from 3.30 for a while then goes back in. haven't watched the whole release yet so i cannot comment if there are any more sync issues

If MVS sorted the interlace & sync issues then this would be a good release.

V: 5 (knocked a couple of points of for interlace issues)
A: 7 (based on cam)
M: ? (haven't watched yet)

Video: 8 (really sharp, but a little flickering and it's interlaced)
Audio: 1 (I've heard better on other CAM versions of this movie, and this goes in and out of sync)
Movie: 9 (Loved it)

This release should be nuked for going in and out of sync

i always welcome hortons comments, they may at some points be a little destructive. but u always no what u gonna get. it could be less chauvinistic/knows it all at times but hey, probs, being mentioned in a nfo 4 that.

For a cam MvS have def done good on this one, nice picture that could easily get away for a nice TS had it not had the cam audio. The cam audio is very ok tho and this is a very watchable version. Nice one MvS. Best version yet

Got sync issues near the start where he is on the train, not sure about anywhere else but looks in-sync, also looks like its got IVTC problems, see lines all over the place, apart from that is fine really, sound is par for a cam and quality of video is fine.

Its really not bad..But ive only seen the sample, for all I know theyre is a torrent site watermark the entire release through..

Considering this movie isn't due to come to the states until September, this is nice. The video is good, MvS quality, but I had hoped they were done with cams and would've brought us a TS. Sound is hollow, but you can hear what's happening and enjoy a movie that's not due to be seen for months. Your choice and so I thank you guys. As far as Mr Bean, if you love him, it's priceless.

Great thoughout, very watchable and the best rip out so far

Video: clear and very watchable, as expected with mVs

Sound: suprised mVs released something with cam audio but never the less I expected this to be hollow but its not too bad actually, quite easy to hear

I watched the whole thing on my projector, and for this movie the sync issues and the sound in general dont really matter that much, as its a bean movie and it is focused on how he act and make faces....

V: 8 Good for a cam, shot from an angle, doesnt affect the movie at all
S: 7 Allright, apart from the tiny sync issues, wich doesnt really matter anyway
M: 5 The last one was far better, and why aint all the foreign (french, russian ... ) lines subbed? hmmmz...

Please excuse the length of my post but I have a few things to say, none of which really matters.

You know I'm reading all this mVs slagging but personally I feel its 90% pants. I get where people are coming from with their 'do it yourself' trip but when I'm sitting infront of my telly watching a decent copy of a newly released film, I don't give too much of a toss where its come from or who's claiming credit for it. At the end of the day a release should be made accessible to as many people as possible and if it needs the aid of a fairly big, well known grp to achieve that, so be it

I don't really understand people slateing mVs for this. As far as I know they are about the ONLY grp (if there are others then that just goes to support my comments on accessibility) to pre UK releases (66, Mr. Bean, Outlaw, e.t.c) at a decent quality (just look at the pony efforts made with Hot Fuzz). They also regularly release at a higher standard to most other grps. OK, they may not all be 10/10 but they are consistent.

Obviously the comments in the NFO have touched a nerve. It seems that Horton feels the need to justify himself and in doing so only rreally manages to enforce the comments made (horton: if someone pokes fun at you for being too serious it ain't helping your argument posting an essay on why they're a**holes, just take it on the chin, bruv, and laugh it off).

Personally, I maximise respect for mVs. From the moment they came on the scene they've been stirring things up. You guys all whine that they stole Maven's name but why do you care so much? damn, its supposed to be a joke and I donn't see Maven complaining! judging by comments being made in this forum this scene needs an injection of humour.

As for the release, its a CAM and its a good one. its got a great picture (yeah its interlaced but its still way better than normal CAMs) and the audio is quality albeit with slight sync issues. I ain't gonna rate it cos numbers mean nothing on this site. Let's just say if you can handle watching a typical CAM with slightly fuzzy, cropped picture, with audience laughing & heads bobbing about and with tinny audio thats smothered in dense reverberation, then you'll probably find this release a joy to behold!

Come on scene, cheer up!

I love the way horton criticise's mVs for not releasing their own stuff when just the other day he made this comment on PROP3R's release of shooter:
