This has got to be the best game ever. Its been out in its present form for god knows how many years and its still the bollocks.

Counter Strike Source is still the best game ever made.

Used to play. I wasn't much good, but yeah, tis an awesome game.

TF2 could easily surpass it with time and updates (more game maps and modes which are already in the pipeline).

It's one polished game. Flawless even.

tf2 is good but i always go back to css. Its more about the team playing on tf2, no room for individual awesomness.

No doubt it's rare to see a Rambo style one man army in TF2, but I think that comes from a balanced class system.

I suppose the one downfall, if it can be called, is that different classes have different physical atributes in speed and health, so you can never really compare the skills of two players unless they play the same class.

Also does CSS suffer from spawn camping at all? Seen it once or twice in TF2 but only with twats doing it.

So whats ur favourite class on Tf2? I always go Engineer when defending and Doc when attacking but being a doc requires someone capable of taking advantage of the ubercharge. If the teams are shit I go as a spy, sneaky sneaky.

Normally demo man all the way, but I'm really pissed that they have lowered the ammo count.

I play Fort2 mainly and there is a nice little spot for a sentry that I place from time to time. But I hate just waiting around so I normally dump it down then go on a shotgun rampage. So far my highest is 27 kills with a single sentry.

I'ts always great to have a Medic around, but being a Demoman isn't that great when it comes to uber.

I suck at heavy and scout. Somehow when I play against them I'm killed by a scout scatter gun from accross the map, but when I try shooting people from point blank range with the scattergun they turn round and rocket/shotgun/punch my face off

The spy isnt too bad, but if your not playing as a whole team it can be a bit of a downer. They get killed to easily, friendly fire off basically means you have zero chance of blending in, as any decent players will just test shoot anything and everyone. So you run and hide and run and hide and run and hide all the way into the enemy base only to have a guy kill you with a lucky fire and forget shot.

I'm just intrested in the changes to class powers coming up soon, I read somewhere about a medic being able to choose to either buff as normal of give one shot to double the health factor. With any luck all classes will have funky little side things added.

Usually soldier or pyro, though I do medic quite a bit if any heavies or decent soldiers are on the team. A medic with a heavy is pretty damn tough. Have to agree that skill is related more to the class, I've been on top of a server as a medic due in part to the heavies and soldiers having some excellent skills in their class.

On another note I'm finally getting somewhat back into CS:S and have a 12 slot private optimized of my own setup if we ever wanted to get any fun games going with members here, could be a good time.

I'd have to buy cs:s and so long as my laptop was up to playing it at any sort of decent res/framerate then I'd give it a go too.

I'm bumping this since it seems to either be forgotten or only a few people really care, if anyone else is interested let me know, I won't bump it again.

The Jolt popular maps server never has anyone on it. We could almost claim it for ourselves whenever we felt like it. (I'm talking 1.6 here btw)

Well thats 3 of us. Surely there must be some more pc gamers in here. CS 1.6 is only $10 and CS:S is $20. Gotta be worth that much of anyones money surely.

reinstalled mine recently, its the only FPS game that doesnt give me a huge headache

oh man CSS was a relationship wrecker for me. was on it almost constantly for a whole year.

Favourite map has to be OFFICE easily. no AWPS, just a p90, Deagle and a flash

If you are getting a server up and running let me know i have a few mates that wouldnt mind getting back on their.
