Howard the Duck gets an official DVD release

I'm surprised I didn't get to hear about this sooner, but it does appear to be true.

On 5 October, this cheesy '80s flick finally got an official Region 2 DVD release on the German label Koch Media. LINK

Unofficial bootleg DVDs prior to this were either 4:3 pan & scan (from laserdisc or VHS), or widescreen and censored (from the Sky HDTV broadcast). This release is uncut and in widescreen! I shall be paying a visit to amazon.de this Christmas...

wow grow up. People who have had sex usually don't speak like that virgin. In terms of the release I can't wait to pick up a copy. I am a huge fan of movies from my generation. I watched howard for the first time a few weeks ago, (probably the same release that baha), and through all the shite reviews, I was expecting to be in for a decent movie... unfortunatley I couldn't believe how turdstatically pustular it actually was. Historic, in fact. Definately deserves a dvd release.

You may have a point. Having not seen HTD since the mid-80s it might be a lump of fetid cunt... It wouldn't be the first movie to shatter my rose-tinted nostalgia-o-vision - "Krull" had that dubious honour a few years ago after I excitedly plucked it out of a bargain bin for a quid
