Weird thing is that there's only a WS DVD of this film. I remember a while back there was a dvdrip of Resident Evil in FS but all the DVDs are WS.

I prefer fs because I get no gay black bars on the tv...the picture covers the whole screen, thank you

My guess on why people prefer FS over WS is that it fills the whole screen. That's it. WS is sooooo much better. I hate watching movies in FS and Blockbuster only has movies in FS! It sucks! Also if you have a widescreen TV (I don't though) FS doesn't cover the whole screen and to make it cover the whole screen you have to stretch it.

Fs is jsut as good as wide screen.... i loved this movie.. but obviously the orignal is better than this but great deaths!!!!

fullscreen is an incredibly nasty representation of a movie for dullards who think that ws shows less. it ruins many films and is rather uncomfortable to watch unless its a 20min tv show. even then, most tv shows over here are shot in 1.78:1 now, so no probs there.

as far as FS vs WS....i usually prefer WS over FS, but i have a few FS rips just out of laziness i suppose. I grabbed this release, probably wont get the WS, movie isnt worth it.

While watching the first death scene I thought I saw some glitches in the video itself, then again it could be this new version of power dvd. Anyway it has the full credits and I thought I saw another glitch there too. Oh well, the rip is good enough for me.

to the person above me questioning if its even retail, it is obvious that it IS retail, just unfortunate for the full screen but yes this is better than the dvdscr just because of the watermarks and b/w.

9/9/9 (would have preferred ws but month pre retail is still good)

Listen to the audio before during the highway pileup scene. Any shot that shows a vehicle or motorcycle driving on the wet pavement before the actual accident happens. It sounds like total crap. Other than that... this release is fine.
