good shit

way better then the SCREENER .. IMO

Posted by Airhead on 08-26-2005 11:30 PM:

Like the Rest of their TC's , extremly dark picture ... this TC also has washed out colors. Audio sounds like a heavily filtered CAM , which is also out of sync.

Personally , i grabbed the ASTEROIDS XViD , and the COBRA Screener , going to merge the Screener audio to XViD picture for a nicer release.

Movie look horrible , but something to watch this weekend.

Props to COBRA for audio and NBP/ASTEROIDS for picture.

Wish these grps would work together to really screw MPAA ...

As a TC:
7/4/?

I would have to say dumb nuker(s) .... reason being , since the new DTS Discs got released , DTS2 . All audio if you havent noticed by now has been mono. Every TELESYNC or TELECiNE TUN , NBP , Centropy , VideoCD , maVen , SAOSiN has released in previous months since the new DTS Discs dropped has been mono.

If any were stereo , they played with the audio and it was originally mono .

good rls, not a fantastic audio track, but thats not unusual now, i like these tcs but they are slightly dark, but screw it, as a tc 7/6/8 not a bad movie, glad remake doesnt fit in with this movie

Posted by 4NAK8TR on 08-27-2005 06:19 AM:

The video looks good. Dosent have much of the TC darkness with it. The audio on the other hand sounds like a old CAM, hollow and muffled. It's too bad to because this is the kind of movie that could change your life ;-) .

Posted by moby008 on 08-27-2005 11:50 AM:

video was pretty dark, and colors were washed out.didn' t like the mono sound on the second c.d either.

7/4/5

Judging from sample...

Video looks great to me... just a tad bit dark. I give it a 8. Audio in sample ain't all that great; it's pretty muffled. I give it a 6. Movie was ok. 7

Rating as a TC:

Video: 7.5
Audio: 6.5
Movie: 6

Sound gets very hollow a couple times, as if the audio cable was not plugged in all the way or something. It doesn't last long enough to ruin it though. As for the movie itself, I guess it wasn't as bad as that aweful soccer movie he was in. Thanks for the first watchable release IMO.

Smile

Nice job 8/8/5

Posted by poker on 08-27-2005 07:52 PM:

from sample only

not bad at all, not dark and its an overall ok tc, im watching this later.

8/8/6

VIDEO = 7 BLURRED BUT VERY WATCHABLE. BELOW PAR FOR A TELECINE.

AUDIO = 4 SOUNDS CLEAR, BUT LOW QUALITY KHZ, ALSO CHANGES DURING THE FILM, GOES CAM QUALITY THEN BACK, SOUNDS LIKE A PATCH JOB. BUT NO SYNC ISSUES.

FILM = 2 I CANT BELIEVE I WASTED NEARLY 2 HOURS OF PRECIOUS LIFE ON THIS TURD BURGER.

THIS IS BETTER PICTURE QUALITY THAN THE SCREENER, BUT WORSE SOUND QUALITY .. NOW IF I COULD BE ARSED I'D PUT THE SOUND FROM THE SCREENER ONTO THIS 1, BUT WHY BOTHER, THE FILM'S TOTAL SHITE, GET THE ORIGINAL TV SERIES DVD (WHICH ISNT MUCH BETTER)

6/4/4

pic is ok, little bit blurry
sound becomes very tinny/camish a times and is also a little low
movie was shite

Well, they may have fucked up a couple of their early releases but NBP seem to be spooging all over recently. This is a pretty decent copy and I want to have deep, meaningful sex with them!

V - 8
A - 7
M - ? (GF is gonna inflict it on me tonight, YAY!)

Posted by b_3 on 08-30-2005 05:52 PM:

based on a few RARs

video: 6 - poor for a telecine - comprable to a Centropy TS.

audio: 5 - Sometimes muffled and hard to understand. Sounds like good CAM audio. Sometimes has a buzzing in background.

movie: havnt seen

Posted by karchambault on 09-03-2005 02:08 PM:

Gonna make this a quick one... Video, pretty decent. Audio, not bad. Only issue I had was on cd2, as noted before, the sound crapped out a couple of times. Other than that... ehhh. Movie, well, my wife liked it and I'll leave it at that. By the way, Steve Carroll (sp?) was fantastic as Uncle Arthur.

Based on TC:

Video: 7
Audio: 6
Movie: 6

would say this is a telesync. very slight verticle tilt to it and as already said sound is hollow and a split hair out of sync. watchable though.
