where do they find these dvd's to rip with insane asepct ratios like 2.44:1?
all the dvd's i own are 1.33:1, 1.77:1 (what all widescreen should be) or 1.85:1.

seriously, when someone watches a movie on there widescreen (16:9) tv (that they bought partialy to remove the black bars when watching movies) do you really think they want to see more stinking black bars?

on dvds of movies shot in the widescreen "cinemascope/panavision" aspect ratio (usually around 2.35:1, but it varies).

info about different widescreen processes here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Widescreen

it amazes me that somebody on a movie site, that owns a widescreen tv, doesn't know this shit. but I'll resist the urge to call you faggot for now.

rip looks good. checked the sample only, will NOT be watching this movie

9/9/?

i just prefer not to have black bars on my widescreen tv when watching movies.
name calling is so childish and gets no where, and does not help people show there point.
like i said before, i asked that because all the movies i bought or have on dvd-r that are widescreen are either 16:9 (1.77:1) or 1.85:1

Posted by zfr on 08-04-2006 11:15 PM:

can anybody post a screenshot?
i dont understand the AR debate...
its just because im used to use the 16:9 and 3:4 formats...

ive seen dis movie, pretty good

most of the movies to come out of hollywood are in scope, especially these days and ESPECIALLY big budget or "event" pictures.

just for a test, run through the top 50 grossing pictures of all time. you'll have trouble finding a single one of them that's shot in standard ratio.

how many movies do you have? 3?!

I've come to expect, no less from Diamond....Excellent in all factors

Really nice video with crisp and clean colors. The sound is good, but not as loud or booming, but very good.

Yeah, JoJo was cute in that movie. Okay, good quality for a 1cd so the rating should go up for that. It wasnt total clear but good. Sounded okay.

do any of you actually watch the rls on a standalone dvd after converting it & not on your pc. this is not one of dmd's best its not as clear as his previous stuff and do any of you see a slight judder (shake ) in the middle of the picture. and dont say its because my converter is shit as i know its aok. still very watchable and i am not complaining just review the rls correctly.

Thumbs up Re: audio out of sync

sorry mate but i didnt see any sync probs this morning when i watched it. i watched it on a standalone without any hiccups.maybe you were watching it on something else.try a different kind of player see if that helps.

movie was ok and the quality is first class. def worth grabbing if you like our Robin.
