-- A Man Apart - SCREENER - VideoCD (http://forum.vcdq.com/showthread.php?threadid=17839)
ok i thought the quality was gonna be good like the basic release, well thats not the case... The video is ok, the counter doesnt bug me, but the blur at the top right is annoying. The audio is fare, but to me it seems to crackle a bit, maybe its somthing to do with me running windows 2003, instead of xp..
over 6/6/?
blur upper right hand corner - barely noticeable
counter bottom middle, fairly small and white, easy to get used to
ironically the sample had a spanish speaking scene so it had english subtitles, and the counter covered up most of the subtitles, so leaving the watcher sumone guessing in that part. Even when the counter doesn't interfere wit the subs, there very small and hard to read so almost screwed either way on non-english scenes.
Great color, good sound, very small motion blur.
8/7/?
Cable Boy is right on. The pic isn't very good at all. The moving ocunter, blur at the top, not great, and the audio is sucky. This is suppose to be a SCREENER, yet all this static sounds and crackling... Last but not least, the MOVIE SUCKED BALLS!
6/6/3
the counter isnt too bad, its a normal VideoCD thing. that blur is terrible, it doesnt even blend good. but other than that the picture is good. the sound it ok but it can be better. just adjust some equilizer settings with the treble and bass and everything should get better
Actually, you guys are wrong, the pic is average Screener quality, little blurry like most, sound is average too...stop your bitchin about the blur when its so small and barely noticable! Counter is nothin either.
7/8/?

The pic quality is barely better than the workprint, and personally i would rather put up with ctp's angle then videocd's screener. The sound snap crackles and pops like the old school rice crispy's and the subtitles help with the plot of the movie, makes it a little tough when you don't know what the hell they're talking about.
either way, it's watchable and free, so props videocd
Very watchable.
The counter doesnt bother me. Great release!!
How do these groups do it???
The blur & counter here are small, really, especially compared to some releases that have more counters & warnings & blurs than they have viewable picture! I'm amazed at how quickly these screeners come out-- someone's got a serious hook-up. I've already watched the CTP version, which was fine, but this one is better (based on the sample), no question (in case you haven't grabbed one yet). Thanks VideoCD!

I wish they would adjust the tracking on the vcr next time...audio is fuct.
Nice looking picture quality though. Thanx VideoCD
Got the Sample, its very clear, don't care for little blur on the top and don't care for counter in the bottom its very very clear and crisp sound... worth downloading!

( VCDQUALITY ROCKS )
OK, Please Stop asking for Movies, and Go and find it.
picture on sample is a little bright sounds a little crackly, apart from being a little bright colours are good blurred serial top right counter not to annoying.counter did not obscure subtitles to the point of being unreadable but they obscure them 7/6/?
Nice to see an early screener, though it has it's problems as stated above, better than the other releases as long as you can get past the counter and small blur. 7/6/3
Good to see an early release of this movie, audio is cracky but better then past releases. The blur didn't really bother me much and neither did the subs-counter.
5/4/4
Picture quality is spot on for such an early release, no probs there, shame about the crackly sound though it starts to get very annoying after 30mins of it, it only crackles when u get low end bass overall though a good screener, in my opinion the best release so far... Keep up the good work videocd... I did think vin diesal was pants in this though..hehe
Just noticed that this sound on this screener only crackles when u have the sound in stereo, sticker her in mono or take the surround of and shes fine...hehe... 7/6/6
7.5
7.5
8.0
configured some stuff then tne audio was fine
video is decent atleast and for the person that said the timer and blur spot wasnt noticeable your full shit you can't even read the subtitles they add when the chinesse or whatever talks blur spot is noticeable but pass's after half way through the movie
as for the movie is sucked
6/6/3
Its weird, if i turn my dvd player on and off it dosent crackle at all sometimes it does. Anyone got any ideas what this could be.
quote:You have the wierdest resolutions, I'm becoming to think it's all in your head bro I tried this in PowerDVD and I can't say I like the quality very much. Motion blur and little pixelation, crackling audio and ugly counters. I guess gotta wait for SVCD. 6/5/4

now that I finally watched this I like the diablo workprint ending better. it was a OK flick. nice release for the screener.
Thanks guys.
peace out
I'm going to have to agree first that this movie sucks. Never take an action hero and try and make him cry a lot. Stupid idea. Secondly, the colors are a little washed, which is pretty standard for a VHS SCR, but the picture is fairly crisp. The counter doesn't bother me. The blur is not done as well as some of I've seen, but that could be asa result of the size of what it's hiding? My only real bitch (outside of this being an aweful movie) is that the crackle in the sound (specifically at the beginning) snaps like I am watching a ten thousand times rented VHS on my tv. Do some tracking or something guys. But overall, the best release yet (much better than the workprint that looked like it was in black and white) and of course much better than CTP's new angle-a-thon release.
MrSin
no matter what the quality, theres always a handful of twerps that say its a great release and excellent, clear picture.
This is watchable but it sure isnt sharp
best release yet mind you
