Shrek 2 / Dennis Wilson..

As many of you have already noticed on July 29th 2004 I removed all references to Shrek 2 from the site as requested in a cease and desist letter from Dennis Wilson/Dreamworks. After removing all references to shrek 2 and emailing mr Wilson I thought this matter was closed. Guess I was wrong..

On Aug 19th 2004 I recieved this email from my ISP EV1Servers.net.

[email protected]. Also be sure to keep the case # in the subject line
for quicker reference. Thank you in advance for your prompt cooperation.

I know they've argued in the past that even a screenshot from the movie constitutes an infringement too but as long as you're ONLY posting information on what's out there I can't see how they have a leg to stand on. Although the IRC search is probably a bad idea too, even though it's not done via VCDQ you're still encouraging it... If you drop the screenshots (which nobody with a brain gives a fuck about anyway) and the IRC search then I can't see how they've got a leg to stand on.

I have got the exact same letter, and i know a few other people that have also recived it. It seems dreamworks wasnt as happy as we where to get such an early dvdrip :P

Wow, he really went the long way around to find a Shrek 2 reference on the site. Oh shit...there's another one.

Yeah man I mean thats pretty lame I remember you were having problems with tomb raider 2 before, I love the site its a great database but thats all it is, I mean its just easier to go here and see whats been released than it is to keep checkin sites. I love the site and yeah I can imagine Dreamworks would be pissed that their gem was out in perfect dvd quality so early haha, and you were the easiest (and probably only) thing they could find to try and sue or something.
