after reading the nfo, looking at the screenshots, comparing the samples and the burned discs in my standalone hdtv ---
replica is 100% right and i appreciate the rls.

kinda funny -- i got 3 burned dvdr's of this movie now. a Telecine with hollow DD 5.1 audio and a decent menu, a 'rental' region 4 one, and now the 'real' one.

Oh well, it was bound to happen. You knew you were taking a risk if you got the BURGER release. I'm just gonna get this for the menus and extras though as the BURGER release was quite shitty. Thanks Replica

What is the big f-ing deal. If the video of burger release is the same as a retail dvdr, then it's a good dvdr
Finally, yeah this release is perfect, I'll post some screenshots of the menu tomorrow.

Yeah the video and sound quality of Burger was top notch. Its a keeper. Who gives a toss about the deleted scenes and extras. If I wanted all that crap I'd buy the dvd.
Yeah, but people who are coolest enjoy the movie with the menu and extra's.
Oh by the way .. the BURGER release was r4 retail .. this is r1 retail .. posted about this ages ago on a diff thread and it looks as if i have to post again
and well, don't you get dvds for the fuckin menus and extras? i mean atleast for the menus..i sure dont want some crappy homemade one, i could do better than that
The burger release didnt have a "homemade" menu, it was a legit 20th century fox rental dvd menu..
This release came 4 months too late, the TC was fine and i didnt even watch the whole movie, once is enough!!
I dont know about you but i sure as hell dont get DVDs for the menus. I get them for the great sound/picture quality, and in a few cases the extras but not very often as most extras are shit.
hi
iam a 1st time poster
did anyones copy of the burger rip seem a lil bright 2wards the end??? and is this 1 the same?

yeah, preach on brother, this is a much better release, but the BURGER release wasn't shit at all, but this is nicer, with menus and such.
Maybe vip3r is just pissed cos he's got a shite connection or limited bandwidth

so is it safe to say that other than the extras and menus..
video/audio wise they are similar
Air1 was the only one to menu he has played this on his HDTV..
Air1 can you confirm that video/audio wise on the MAIN movie.. it is similar in both releases.. or was one better than the other..
i ask you because you mention you have an HDTV.. most who test these on an ordinary picture tube/crt 36" and smaller non progressive 480i (s-video/component/composite) cannot relaly tell the difference. i know i cant.. and wen u play on a properly setup hdtv system.. u can realy tel if its a shitty release or not.. which is what i play my movies on.. so yourinput or others with a big hdtv really count..
i was just checking the info.. and just realize the burger was stripped of all extras and what not.. this kept deleted scenes and something else.. though this release did a 7 pass compared to burger's 6.. however this movie is 2 hours? and depending on how much more space those extras are.. burger's release has more space to play with to maintain higher bitrate..
once i get to try out this release ill compare the two..
Cant tell this is downsampled. Thought the film was gonna be
better tho.
