Great job by KEg, but what a shitty movie. So much wasted talent (Scarlett, Ewan) A bunch of explosions, car chases and nice scenery can't hide a horrible script and lousy direction...

Michael Bay never will be Kubrick, Tarkovsky, Bergman...or even (a bit too overrated) Spielberg

Bad or at best mediocre Hollywood stale popcorn

Actually of my top 5 list of all-time favourite movies, 4 of them are longer then 2,5 hours (one of them is Fanny & Alexander lasts a total of 312min in the TV version I loved most), so much for your 90min guy.

And I prefer (artistic) quality, indie art/experimental movies rather then "She's all that" HW romantic stuff.

You SO misunderstood and underestimated me, man...

I liked this movie!

I dont know about all the criticism about this movie. Bay is one of my favorite. All of his movies have been great big blockbusters. This movie is one that gets in the mind too, good flick in my opinion.

Watched the sample but not movie yet.
Waiting for cd2 to finish.

the problem with this movie was that it SHOULD have been a thriller, but around half way through, the movie suddenly jumped from really good sci-fi thriller, to dumb loud ludicrously stupid action... it kinda smoothed out again at the end, but that really idiotic 30 minutes that started around half way through the film, really crippled what SHOULD have been an excellent more subdued Bay film... all in all, 6.5 out of 10 for movie, SHOULD have been a 7.5.

8 for video (really excellent quality given film length and resolution)
10 for audio - its ac3 5.1, you cant fault the group on that.
6.5 for movie, as i said above.

Video - Overall very good alround, there was some pixellation during the fast moving actions scenes in the middle of the film but apart from that is a perfect picture.

Audio - can't be faulted, AC3 5.1

Movie - has its ups and down's, started pretty well, i personally liked the action scenes in the middle section found them to be well pulled off. However the ending is bordering on skeptical.....far too soppy as well or my liking.
-Just to add the CGI in the film is impressive!! Shame about the blatant advertisement placement.

9/10/6.5

A story line more current and less fictional than most know.

This movie is right on the mark. The Island's possibility needed to be published colloquially; a movie does the job well. To bad they didn't call the Island, Taiwan, where the Western companies are circumventing national cloning laws for the world’s secret elite. Google it.
