I have a question.
Why do they release a 2CD version?
DiAMOND usually releases 1CD versions although the "XViD releasing standards" say the movie has to be ripped on 2 CD's. This movies is 107 minutes! Only because of 2 minutes they release a 2CD release! Why? Is this movie not as compressible as "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" or "Silent Hill"?

Because 90% complained it should of been two cd. Now they listened to your complaints and 2 cd is still not good enough.

Just bring on the dvd, screw wasting time encoding, you could be uploading not encoding!!!
Xvid's are only because of bandwith if you dont have it you shouldn't be doing it.

Oh nose!!! Then what would all of us who stream xvid from our computers/media systems direct to our TV or have a bandwidth cap or don't have a DVD burner do? Agggghhhh... WHAT WOULD WE DO?!? OMG the thought of having to do all that work may even make me stop downloading altogether.

LOL!

TOP release BTW

Video 9
Audio 10.0
Movie 7 - not pixars best!

Posted by chiv on 10-20-2006 02:39 PM:

well it looks like diamond is ALMOST back on form. nice job with the 2 cd rip, only complaint is... why only 608x256?! given that cgi compresses nicely compared to live action, surely it could have been bumped up to 640x272 given its below 2 hour running time and still looked fantastic... well, keep at it diamond, your almost back to where you once were... this is a decent enough release that'll tie me over till disney release the special edition version that ill buy, seeing as the upcoming release is WEAK (now that disney owns pixar, i expect we can all look forward to constant double/triple dipping to all future pixar films... sigh...)

anyway
8/9.87552/7.5

i love pixar films, but this is easily the weakest pixar story of the lot... still a great movie but definately below their usual standards... animation was top class though for sure.

ever heard of a standalone divx player? or a tv output on pc/laptop? or a vga input on plasma/lcd tv? or about 10 other ways to play divx video on an external tv/monitor?

good release, ok pixar movie. best visuals yet, but kinda weak on the story front.

9/10/7.5

Two disc version because, as the nfo says, they have done it with AC3 5.1 instead of mp3.

The audio on it is amazing through a DD amp.

v 10 (Excellent bit-rate)
a 10 (Sweet AC3 roaring)
m 8

or just get both xvid and the dvdr if storage is not an issue. xvid for your server to stream over LAN, and dvdr for your spindle collection. it works for me

Amazing rip. quality is excellent. I watched it on my Tv through my computer. I don't know why the previous poster had a comment on low audio, the audio is able to get very loud.
