Anyone been watching this.
Watched the first two shows and quite liked it.
Got the third on the drive ready to watch.

You have nothing to fear but Fear Itself.

A horror/suspense anthology series, Fear Itself brings some of the genre's most respected writers and directors to the small screen.
Doesn't really say much though does it? What's it like? Does it remind you of anything (such as Supernatural)? What's it about? Do you think I've been circumcised?

lol

They are short stories and all different.
Horror/ Suspense does sum it up.
If I said what the episodes were about it would kinda spoil it to be honest.
For a tv show it works pretty well but if they were movies they probably wouldn't stand up.
Haven't watched supernatural myself man should maybe give it a go.
I'm always last to pick up on things.
I didn't start watching Lost until last year. But it was fuckin great having 3 series to watch back to back.
Best tv show ever imo.
Heroes was good too.

If you get a chance to check out The Lost Room I think you'd like it.It was a six part mini series.Everyone I've passed it on to really enjoyed it.

It's always good to hear of the good ones you might of missed.
I find the tv stuff much easier to watch nowadays.
45 mins an episode seems to work better for me these days than trying to find the time to sit through a whole movie.

I started watching that at some point (I think), think I still have it somewhere if it wasn't deleted to create room for something else

If it's the one with the key that when used opens up different worlds...and a single/widowed cop with a young daughter somehow comes into possession of it...?

Remember watching the start of sci-fi channel and then getting hold of it as it started quite well, but for some reason never got round to watching it.

Didn't realise it was part of a series (if we're talking about the same thing).

NO --- but if I'm wrong I think it was an adult circumcision. With lots of complications.

Cheers will give this a spin.

Sounds similar to the old Twilight Zone and Outer Limits stuff in some respects then.

I watched The Lost Room when it was on TV ages ago, it was enjoyable and might have even made a decent series.

Watched episode 1 and fell asleep 5 minutes into episode 2 last night. Wondered what Eric Roberts had been up to lately . Gonna watch the rest later, is not great but certainly watchable and yes it is very much like The Twilight Zone.

Watched the first two episodes last night... First one was generic but good, the second one wasn't as "scary" as the first one (though neither are exactly spine-chilling gore fests) but the plot was better.

If you like Twilight Zone/Outer Limits and Supernatural you'll probably like this. It's not about to win any Emmy's but it's not bad and there is a bit of a TV drought at the moment.

Watched all 156 episodes of The Twilight Zone during the Jan. thru Feb. period. The genius of Rod Serling never ceases to amaze. Forgot about Outer Limits. Have to dig some of those up too. Supernatural is simply a must see. But back on topic. If Fear Itself is in the same vein as these three than certainly worth a look.

I liked the 3rd episode of this but seen the end coming a mile off. The 4th episode I half watched it looked crap so didn't pay too much attention to it. I think the series is likely to have some hit and miss episode but might still be worth watching.

Posted by koodo on 06-28-2008 04:41 AM:

Watched episodes 2 and 3 plus half of 4. Won’t be watching any more

Ep3 was a bit obvious but still chilling in places. It's going on my "B-list" of shows... Ones that I don't bust a nut to watch but download and watch when nothing else is on TV

agreed

Ep4 was predictable, I thought Ep3 was the best of em all.

ACTUAL SPOILERS. ON THE OFF CHANCE YOU ARE RETARDED AND DON'T SEE THE ENDING COMING, DON'T BLAME ME FOR SPOILING IT.

------------------------------------------------

The ambiguous note in ep4 was a dead giveaway. The lack of actual death was atrocious.

The body swap dad in ep3 got proper fucked, good stuff.

Reneged and watched e05. Good spooker that should grab and hold your attention. Novel ending.

Posted by olskoolfife on 07-11-2008 12:20 AM:

quite liked episode 5 myself

definitely a hit n miss show

Posted by koodo on 07-19-2008 03:59 AM:

Took in e06. Got good reviews in some quarters. For me not enough vagaries to maintain interest. Real paucity of anything decent to watch at the moment.

Posted by olskoolfife on 07-25-2008 04:49 PM:

Episode 6 and 7 were pretty shit really to be honest.

Posted by koodo on 07-25-2008 11:46 PM:

E06 already disposed of. As for e07 gotta agree with you. Once premise established becomes fairly formula. Reminds me of the later year Outer Limits series. Ran 7 seasons and have watched many episodes. Ranged from pathetic to very good. Most were mediocre. As is e07 and pretty much the rest of this series.

Posted by Neversoft on 07-26-2008 01:10 PM:

I've still got the last three or four episodes to watch (the last one I saw was the wedding letter one)... Lets be honest, if ANYTHING else was airing at the moment, we'd watch that instead. If it wasn't for Stargate Atlantis and soon Eureka, I wouldn't be downloading any TV at the moment and annoyingly enough, by the end of the year I wont have enough hours in the day to watch everything!

Posted by valvehead on 08-12-2008 05:58 PM:

Has this series been cancelled? I heard Mick Garris, the producer/founder, quit because of re-writes to scripts.
Masters of Horror, what it was known as on hbo, was hit & miss but this series is poor in comparision. There's hardly any tits & gore but thats probably to do with the channel switch.
Even so, the stories aren't that original (eater was done a few years back on Urban Gothic) and there's no decent directors; Miike, Argento, Carpenter...
This will probably end up like that pos 'Masters of Science Fiction', dropped before the end of the season.
