and I scream at the sky
Every day I ask myself why?
So much pain pouring
from inside
Above me I feel the spirit fly

Yeah, very nice, early release, obviously if you are easily distracted not perfect with the watermarks and timers, but anyone used to watching TV or subtitled films will be fine with it.

Agree with above, nice to see DVD Screeners again, and means when the R5 does come along, you have good audio to go with it
Now bring on the BlueRay Screeners lol.

8/8/?

From scanning and half hour in. Good SCR. Particularly audio. Logo and timer vexing. Once into movie tend to ignore. Has potential.

8/8.5/?

Love the action. Movie 8.0

When you consider how hard it is now days to get anything decent, this is great. It's a good and clean release, I never minded the timers and I rather have that then the porn blurs. Thanks guys for bringing this to us.

M-7.5

Just watched the first 50 minutes and I think you guys are being a little to generous with the scores.

V 7 No problems but nothing special.

A 6.5 At times the dialogue seems very low and the FX very loud, have to keep turning it up and down.

M 6 OK for some mindless fun but why call it Death Race and tarnish the name of a classic?

I wouldn't agree, compare the video quality to the previous TS, and take into consideration how long the movie has been out.
Audio is fine, what your saying is called having a wide dynamic range, why would the FX not be alot louder than the dialogue, lol. Your prob used to having DRC enabled on your DVD player

Movie i liked, and come on the original wasn't a classic by any stetch of the imagination

Good release! Because blind to the timers and Universal text after a few minutes. Overall quality of the release is good.

No issues with audio or video for me and the movie had plenty of action and very little script... Just what I needed for a Saturday night! Certainly worth purchasing the retail DVD when it comes out.

Nice one Alliance!

Watched this last night. Pretty good, mindless fun for a Saturday night. Sort of felt like a movie version of the video game Full Auto...just without Uwe Boll directing

Video 8 - screen is cropped, and there is a permanent Universal Pictures Watermark at top, timer at bottom. Not horrible, but a bit distracting. Not as good as some of the recent dvdscr (this is not a sleight against Alliance, they have done a good job with the source, but rated against other recent dvdscr, this one isn't as good)
Audio 9 - Sounded fine here, yes the fx are loud, but I never found it overpowered the dialogue
Movie 7.5 - really no plot, just some decent action. Fluff mostly, but enjoyable

Thumbs up

V: 8 Not bad minus the logo / timer etc, Color is a little muted.

A: 7.5 Pretty good but there are definite issues with some of the dialogue volume, Watch it loud and its fine.

M: 7.5 Fun movie with some satisfying action scenes.

Watched Sat night; takes the place of boring political commercials here in US!
Good screener, looks to be screener season is here at last!(sorry R5)
Nice LOUD audio for the action..gotta hear that rubber burn and steel crash.(who wants a quiet action movie?) Even got my cat's attention.
Two thumbs Up!

Film was OK, but would have been better if (like the original) it was
set on the open streets.

TIP: Ran it through WINavi with crop 8 from the top and 8 from the bottom.
Cleaned that logo and clock right off the screen.
resulting in a clean DVD, that if you hadn't seen the source
you wouldn't know

^Why would you go to the trouble of re-encoding a dvdscr, well anyways..

Not much wrong with this release considering it's a dvdscr.

Vid - 7 - tad faded
Aud - 7
Mov - 8 - some bad wooden acting at the start, and Tyrese is just a bad actor.

Seemed a bit blocky to me at the action scenes, otherwise ok.
