ok i have seen the sample and it sucks its way outta sync...picture is grey and grainy too

Jpeg Quality

Why do these damn forums turn into Jpeg quality.com for some reason?? If you havn't seen the sample or the release, then why bother?? do you like to see you pseudo name on the screen??? I'm not trying to be a dick... I just dont understand sometimes what the purpose is in telling us that the jpeg's look alright.

Sample... as previously stated is out of sync. the grain and gray doesnt bother me as much...

The nukers only look at the samples.. No one knows if the actual release is out of sync or not. Star Wars EP2 one of the groups released it with sample out of sync but the actual movie was not.

I guess we will have to wait and see.

Disk One REVIEW

No, the 1st disk is not out of sync, that's just the sample. This is good quality in the "bootleg" category. There are some video burps from time to time, and overall the video is too dark for the action scenes (which is standard op). Focus is okay. Sound is much better than okay. I don't remember any sound burps (volume changes, cutting out, etc.). SPEED of release is off-the-charts! What next... a live feed?!

The movie itself: it better get a lot better.

VideoCD - this is great work, particularly in sound. Hope you keep releasing (quality) movies that won't have 3 or 4 other versions in the next few weeks. (btw, any chance of a Windtalkers CD2 repack??). Anyway, thanks, big-dog.

this movie is way out of sync it's not just the blurps is way off a repack is a must

OUT of sync its outta sync defidently probally about .75 seconds but it hard to tell cause the video quality is shitty so u cant see there mouths very weelll

i totally agree its way outta sync looks nasty... it wasn't just the sample like i was told it was

It seemed to be a gradual DeSyncing, only slightly(bout half a sec to a sec tops) which is very easily fixed, Other than that the sound is a tad hollow/echo'y, but nothing big.
Video average overall, al little dark as stated before.
Overall its a descent release.

Movie itself is exactly like the cartoons with the witty jokes n laughs etc. i love it

dont rly like posting on only 1 cd but i gotta, it was outa sync yes, but its tough to see the mouths like said b4 so hard to tell how far ouitasync it is, thoguht the sound isnt terrible, the video def should be stepped up a bit. id wait for some other rls's on this one

No Sync Problems For Me

I was a bit unsure if this would be worth the download since a few people have complained about sync problems, but I downloaded it just to see for myself. I played the movie on my PC and burned it to disk and from all the parts of the movie I have checked (on bothe CD's) I have had no sync problems at all.

Take that for what you will.

If anyone is interested, you can really clean up the picture using some TMPGenc color corection. I've posted steps along with before and after screenshots in this thread ...

i have watched this film and experienced no lipsync issues at all, sound was very good like the first FTF of EP2, picture was a little dark but for a first rls its easily watchable.

yea would really appreciated it if you FUCKERS WOULD STOP REVIEWING THE SAMPLE!!! I've just watched this release, yes the full release, nearly didnt after seeing some of the reviews but thought i'd give it a go for my kids sake!

I finally registered as i was shocked at some of the crap posted previously.

This release was fine.

If the audio is out of sync, which on two watches on my standalone dvd player, i've barely noticed. first time it seemed a micro second out, second time it was un-noticable, it is not enough to bug me even slightly and im usually very choosy about this.

sound quality was fine, slightly hollow but once again no hiss, dropouts, changes in quality, etc, during the film. You could hear what was said who said it and the sound effects OK!

The pic quality is nothing great but perfectly watchable, there are some glitches and it is noticably low rez at times, maybe slightly dark in the nighttime scenes, but this is being very very critical.
The colours seemed fine, your tv does have a brightness contrast and colour adjustment built in, try these out they make amazing difference to the movies, no need to reencode for the colour IMO.

On the whole including the quickness of release I'd rate this 7.0 or so, the comparison to the first swep2 release seemed reasonable to me. I've seen better but I've seen a lot worse.

On the whole im glad i ignored the advice from this thread and took a chance on this one.

You guys need to remember...

1: You do not have to download if you don't like the look of the sample.

2: You do not have to pay to goto the movies, you are downloading it for free. (if you use X-News, some people may pay for a subsciption)

3: How many of you would be willing to spend at least 12 hours ripping/encoding/frameserving and packing these awesome releases. (Never mind the time it takes to post)

4: You shouldn't complain about split second av sync's. When the end is spoilt (like Windtalkers, then you have a case to complain)

I know I'm gonna get shot at for posting this, but I think we should give the poster's more credit)

So "VideoCd" if you are listening Great Post. Ignore all these "Ungrateful's" and keep up the good work. I for one am a happy customer.

please note the purpose of this forum is to post about the quality of the releases, not to.

Posting about slight sync probs or the picture quality is meant as a guideline for others to decide whether to download or not.
It is not criticism of the groups who ALL do a great job unless they're trying to pass someone else's work as their own.

I for one am absolutely delighted that anybody releases these flicks and even the worst release beats anything i could do
I can reencode but without a release then how'd i do that plus there is no great skill required to take someone else's work and fiddle with it the hard work has been done already by someone who is taking all the risks.

i wish people would keep the posts civil and to the point.
ie what is the vcd quality like of this film, and try and give an indication of what, if anything is wrong with it.

btw Flamers only show their own lack of maturity not how tough or Elite they are, and i for one do not give a shit about what someone else thinks about my opinion unless they supply constructive comments.

All I have to say is, it was free and I have it . I have no out of sync problems (I do on most centropy realeses) the vid isnt bad for "FREE" .
I dont biach about what I dont pay for and I dont pay for anything When I find the centropy version I will d/l it and then I can make a fair judgement of bouth .
