OKay wow, this is great quality for a cam, the pic is nice and clear, audio maybe a bit high and a little hollow, but what do you expect from a CAM, awesome job Wastedtime.

pic: very pixilated, some twats head in bottom left not too good but very nice colours.

audio: rubbish, muffled and very camminsh (as it is a cam)

movie : never knew it was being made until 6pm today when i saw a poster "coming winter 2004"

Pretty damn good for a CAM , Garfieldddddddddddd

Great First Copy Wastedtime! Picture is pretty good , got a head bottom of pic but nothing bad, Audio is a tad loud but you can still hear fine. Picking this up now cant wait to watch it!

Oh ya for all the kiddies who nuked for CRC ERRORS:
200- ... garwas.bin OK
200- Extracting garwas.cue OK
200- All OK
200 Command Successful.

Get a better source, aint it past your bedtime?

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well done WastedTime..once again you have kicked ass. Great sound, great picture (well obviously, it is a cartoon!)..nice fullscreen picture. I definately will enjoy this..heh

7/7/6.5 ::edit:: movie wasn't all that bad..i don't think it ruined the 'legend' of garfield..some parts were quite funny..

Posted by EViL-EWoK on 06-12-2004 05:22 AM:

nice for first
7/7/?
nice colour, sound is alittle off
(then again its just what I think.)

::Another great example of people just trying to get more money. Scooby Doo was bad, the sequal sucked even more. Why are companies making bad comic books and old cartoons into movies?
They do horrible, execpt spiderman which started it all.

I suggest just going back to the older movies, the more thought of stuff.(twilight zone) Or just watch the good movies.

I talk about how I hate this the most, but then again we all want more money and If I could, everyone knows they do whatever for money. hehe admit to it ..heh

Thats just what I think, dont flame this shit its not forth it, just spitting my thoughts

Evil-Ewok is right. Movies like this are all about studios minimizing risks. YAWN.

Technically, Spiderman didn't start it all, it just started the recent Marvel surge. But it also showed what can happen when Hollywood gets it right.

OMG just got through watching this...and first off its a nice Cam but damn this movie look boring. I love the Garfield cartoons. But this movie ran the Garfield name in the mud.

Great ass release and Cam. But damn damn these movie writers. Why ruin Garfield of all cartoons.
And one thing worse in a cam than having laughter from the audience..is having m.f. ers who can sit down and keep walking through the screen.

Video is fullscreen, cropped to shit. Audio is loud, but clear. It's pretty decent for a cam.

6/6/x

impressive for first "cam" action......but will wait for TS/TC

alright ppl call me crazy, but props to Wastedtime for their continued quality rls. No wonder they are such good friends with VideoCD.. This is about what i'd expect out of a UTi Cam.. Nice pic and Sound.. Not pixelated if u burn and watch on TV.. Only thing that sux is at very end some damn lady stands up for atleast a min like she's intentionally blocking the camera.. People come and go in and out of picture.. but they don't block much. Cam cuts out a few points but for small periods of time.. Overall it was a pretty good movie.. and Bill Murray does a good job.. Great for the kids.. Props for the rls Wastedtime

6.5/7/8 Pic takes a hit slightly cuz of damn ppl walking in view..

But hey its fREE so i aint complaining

Spider-Man didn't start anything.

Superman, Batman, The Flintstones, Scooby-Doo, X-Men were all movies that came out before Spider-Man. Sure, The Flintstones and Scooby-Doo were awful movies, but they were pretty big hits at the box-office.

Also, for all of the bad movies made today there are also plenty of good ones that come out, too. It's always been that way. Nothing has changed.

Good release... Audio has hollow sound and distorts a few times in movie , just a couple secs each.. very Good pic, but a lil cropped, and just too many shadowpeople...

7/6/8 (movie was very good i thought)

I beg to differ. All those movies made money and were successful. Xmen somewhat started something with Marvel finally having a winner. But Spider-man really did change things. It grossed over $400 Million and became the 5th largest grossing movie of all time. That is what caused the recent slew of comic book movies.

Spider-Man only helped MARVEL decide to make more MARVEL comics into movies. But overall, Spider-Man didn't change the industry. Movies based on comics and cartoons have been made for well over 20 years. And... I'd actually say that the success of X-Men helped them finally get Spider-Man going in terms of them actually "doing" it instead of just planning to. The Spider-Man project was floating around in the hands of many writers-directors for more than 10 years.

If you want to look at movies that helped change the industry, look at JAWS, STAR WARS, PULP FICTION, JURASSIC PARK ( for the cgi). Also, TITANIC showed that you can't count out the female viewer at the box-office and it also showed that a movie 3hrs long can also make mega millions. Recently THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST showed that a low budget religious film not spoken in English can do huge numbers.

6 The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King NL $377,027,325 2003
7 The Passion of the Christ NM $369,962,230 2004

Spider-Man was a 2hr superhero comic movie based on MARVEL's best hero.... of course it was going to make mega millions. It had no "new" effects or broke any real ground. It just helped change things for MARVEL.

Good cam that has been put thru TMPGEnc (from looking at
the data in the beginning of the file) .. I'm sure it needed some
cropping and filtering and it is nice to see the rls group do it
ahead of releasing it.

Grab it for your kiddies if they have to see it NOW

"Is it downloaded yet .. Is it downloaded yet .. Is it downloaded
yet.. " .. hehe

P.S. Somebody smack that lady upside the head in front of the
cam

Sorry for wasted post...

Videocd released TS version..... so w00t!!

Posted by KLashNekkOff on 06-13-2004 01:54 AM:

an excellent early release CAM - but superior VideoCD release out now, grab that

video - very nice colours, vibrant from what ive seen. picture is slightly cropped and is at an angle, however this is not really noticeable apart from in the earlier credits.

audio - very nice, no problems could hear it fine, maybe slightly hollow.

movie - have watched first 10mins, seems pretty decent and with Bill Murray as Garfield could be quite a laugh, but im guessing this is mainly one for the kids despite the fact the VideoCD release is now out im gonna watch the rest of this version anyway as it is more than watchable.

7/7/* - will update my post with film review when im done watching

Video - 6 - Watchable, but people just keep walkin infront of the cam, especially near the end. fokkin lady.

Audio - 6 - CAM audio, and there were a few hisses from time to time in the audio too.

Movie - 5 - Movie wasnt all that great, the story was lame. If anyone actually pays $8 to go see this movie, then you need help . But Im sure the kids will love this one.
