Nice Release, Video and Audio are excellent. aNBc does it again.
bitrate is 3498, how can you possibly call it flawless. if you want to keep the DTS, at least drop the DC track. drop both and you probably have a bitrate in the 4500 range.
Awesome quality, can barely tell it's reencoded

Excellent Quality. Movie was alittle lacking in the story but overall well done job.
Great job on the reencode. aNBc seems to be one of the few groups
who cares about quality and # of passes (yes it does matter).
Can't wait to watch it. 9/10/x
aNBc has done a fiiine job on this one.

One of the best DVDR releases yet.
The Video looks far above the bitrate it has, and the audio on both tracks is great.
If only all DVDR's were this good.

edit: dave316, there is no DC track on this, i personally would of prefered DTS only, but that wouldn't be good for a lot of people, and the video is almost flawless

All I would say is this kinda movie just does not benefit from a DTS soundtrack, ok a CGI rendered film or sci-fi flick, or something like Hero which has a awesome soundtrack to go with awesome visuals, but this aint no masterpeice.
Thats my 1/2 pennies worth, still a good release.
Im all for DTS, actually having a system that can decode it unlike many others who dont.
Good enough for me. The picture is extremely good considering it's only 3500 with 2 audio tracks and complete menus. Kickass encode aNBc, and glad ya guys released the extras disc. Definately won't have to buy this movie now

NO problems here and all the extras to boot ..MEga props go out to aNBc...

Just watched the whole thing now.
Great job on the encoding, Video looks great throughout, and both Audio tracks are superb.
Why does everyone think certain movies dont need DTS.
DTS soundtracks have better quality dialogue and deal with music much better, thats why its favoured on Concert DVD's, its not all about fancy panning.
Keep up the good work anbc, hope all your releases are as good as this from now on, and the seperate extras disc is a nice touch.

how the hell did they keep the video so nice with both DTS and DD5.1 tracks? it's awesome. aNBc just won my friendship.

Excellent release, good job Anbc. No problem playing on my stand alone and the DTS audio made me fuckin hard!

Awesome rls, I cant say anything negative about this one at all.

Just got it. At first I didn't have any real interest in it but after reading some replies here I figured to give it a go. Not regretting it as it's a very decent release. Maybe it could have done without the DTS as the DD 5.1 is superb and more than enough for this flick, but I am sure there are many out there who are happy about the DTS.
Thanks for a great release aNBc
Great release.
Just had some issues with BOTH discs at the end (about 10 minutes before the main movies were done). A slight freeze and then a continuation. Anyone else experience this? I do not really have this problem with other DVDR releases or even my own rips.

Hey lolobo21
The reason you're probably seeing pausing in the last few minutes is that your player can't handle the low bit rate... it's probably really apparent in the credits...
This move works fine on my old Pioneer 333, but stutters towards the end on my newer Toshiba.
I checked it in my Pioneer and the bitrate at the points where the Toshiba stutters is pretty low... (under 2k in some spots) I guess that unit is not as tolerant of lower bit rates...
just finished checkin this out..
first off pretty good movie..
as for the rls.. i am very surprised with the quality despite it being re-encoded.. the PQ was very crisp.. on the 56" 16:9 HDTV DLP.. i have no complaints, but leave me wondering.. if it can look this good re-encoded.. how did the original look..
as for the audio.. I used the DTS track and I was pleased with it..
menus worked, and no problems playing on my philips dvp642
great release overall except keeping both audio channels.. not necessary to have both..
however i would understand the reasoning, because without a proper receiver that can decode DTS.. u will have no audio if played on anything else.. the DD 5.1 track can be decoded by the dvd players.. but still.. 1 or the other so more room for video..

DTS isnt always better. It depends which format the sound engeneer worked with in the first place. It is a gamble as to which to choose. You simply have to try both, to see which one was tweaked, and which one was thrown on as extra.
Encoding an old lp to DTS won't make it sound any better :P higher bitrate or not.
